The Side Effects You Probably Don't Know About

This thread is for anyone that wants to share or ask about the safety profile of any compound including research chemicals, peptides, SARMs, and whatever else you put in your body. Before using any compound, please use this site and type that compound in to get studies on it: (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) National Center for Biotechnology Information
Usually you just need to scroll to the end and read the last sentence or paragraph under 'Results' to see what they've concluded.

NOTE: Whenever you see just about everyone loving a specific product, please realize it is highly likely to be hype in order to increase sales. I'm not against marketing, but when what you are selling may kill someone, I'm not going to stand by and you shouldn't either. There are a lot of teens that browse these forums and whether we like it or not, they will try just about anything that is preached around here so we have the responsibility of not just promoting the good, but letting everyone know about any negatives associated with compounds as well.

P.S. This thread isn't for people to bash anyone who has experienced negative side effects or has found some data to support their claims. If you post a rebuttal to anyone posting in here, you better post a study or two to backup your statements.

I believe this is frowned upon by certain members on this board. Invalid Link Removed

If people would just be willing to have a civil discussion without it devolving into personal insults, ad hominem attacks and etc there should be no problem with a post like this.

Agree with this.

Ostarine lowers the level of 'good' cholesterol, HDL. That effect is not very strong either, but in a discussion on Dalton's study two German specialists express their concern. [J Cachexia Sarcopenia Muscle. 2011 Sep; 2(3): 121-123.] "The HDL decrease is still of some concern as this is a proof that there are still unwanted side and not tissue-selective effects of this novel non-steroidal selective androgen modulator", they write.
It seems likely that ostarine, like 17alpha-methyl steroids, causes some amount of liver damage. In Dalton's study, the concentration of the enzyme alanine-aminotransferase [ALT] rose in twenty percent of the subjects. A high ALT level can indicate liver damage.

I could check later but it wasn't super high. High though because I was taking Tudca and NAC.

Is this something that would return to baseline and repair, or is it permanent damage? I need to stock up on TUDCA and Liver Assist XT. Think I'll stick to 8 week cycles too. Thanks.

That does not seem weak at all. If the effect gets larger as you increase the dose as the table shows and if the effect of a 3mg dose is a -14.7 change from the 52.8 baseline, then the effect of a 20mg bodybuilding dose should be pretty big.

Shouldn't be permanent no. The liver does repair itself. I just thought my blood work was a little surprising because I was taking Tudca and NAC with something that supposedly wasn't too harsh on the liver.
