Most will say to not manipulate water or sodium the week before the show. I am just curious to if anyone has tried to has any knowledge of what would happen if you decreased water intake but kept your sodium the same, the days leading into the show. I know without water and salt you will
Flatten out and I know without sodium you will retain water . So in this case does anyone have any knowledge ?

What Ive seen work the most consistently (everyone is different with this stuff and takes multiple shows and different techniques to dial it in for each person)
is 4 days out bump water to 1.5-2 gallons. and then 2 gallons a day 3 days out, 2 days out, then 1 day out have about 1 gallon and finish it/cut water around 4pm. Keep sodium the same except for on 1 day out cut sodium. Carb up through your 1 day out. Then day of the show add sodium/salt to foods and still no water.

The issue is first you NEED to be stage ready (striated glutes and all.)

From there, simple manipulation of potassium, sodium, and water can be beneficial but you should be able to just walk on stage..if not your not truly stage lean and ready

True.

I am very lean but my glutes are not super thick glutes with inner ******* striations however I do have striations in them. I've heard a lot of people keeping water constant then stopping it the night before the show and having a salty/carb meal 2 hours prestage and say it will helps pull all the water into the muscle and fill
You out

Peaking for a show won't take you from shredded to beyond shredded but can help your muscle bellies fill out and increase the "depth" of striations due to the muscle being fuller. The exact protocol really varies from person to person but in general with 90% of my clients, I follow a rapid back load where there is a massive carbohydrate intake 24 hrs leading into the show. Thats when balancing potassium and sodium matter AND water intake remains high throughout. Cutting out water is a big mistake as your body needs to be adequately hydrated for this approach to work.

Do you have a show coming up?
