Anxiety and how to help calm it

Cool thread. Especially given its potential applications for us with whom hormone use affect our moods .... be it anger, depression, or too many highs and lows.

How would you compare it to phenibut? More potent or less potent?

Wasn't sure if this was directed towards me, but I don't like phenibut. The feeling while on is not worth the feeling of sadness and depression for days after for me. TBH, there is nothing as bad IMO other than maybe the after effects of MDMA, but I hate to use that as a comparison.

Need more Tianeptine feedback. Stuff sounds great

I'm all out atm :( thinking of ordering the tabs again instead of the bulk powder. I hate capping. Mixing with water and refrigerating works but some of it will stick to the container, giving you improper measurements. There's a special liquid for sale out there that's a great solvent for bulk powders like this though. I need to find the name of it again.

Never heard it that special liquid. Please share the info. You're a wealth of knowledge GP ;)

Does this special liquid formula taste better (and work as well as) the Everclear/Grain Alcohol or PEG that the RC chem companies use?

Meditation and look up the ingredients for a supplement called New Mood from Onnit. You can get the ingredients on Amazon for cheaper. I take 5-HTP and L-tryptophan. Helps mellow you out the next day and you get crazy deep sleep. Check the compatibility with you meds FIRST. The mixture can phuq your endocrine system up and amplify your symptoms.

Anyone knows a trustworthy place where can i buy tianeptine in Europe?

I already had imported some nootropics before from USA but the customs are getting more strictly.

When I discovered tianeptine, it was almost as if I was given a NEW MIND

I am starting to understand what you mean. It is now almost 2 weeks and what I have noticed is a lucid thinking while remaining pretty calm physically. I am thinking clearly a lot more and not just after I take a dose, it is feeling like it is more often than not. It is interesting to say the least, and I am looking forward to the next few weeks and see if this changes.

I just bought the powder form on eBay in Europe (UK).. i´ll keep my fingers crossed to be legit.. I´ve read 2 or 3 comments about the seller and the feedback isn´t bad but lets see.

Well, at least even not legit, i hope there´s nothing harmful.

How do you measure 12.5mg? With a milligram scale? I have a 0.01g precision scale, hope i can measure it without many error margin.

With it having a reported half life of only 2.5 hours, is there a noticeable decrease in positive effects (mainly mood and anxiety) if you don't redose soon enough (i.e. having to dose two or three times each day)?

I have a tiny 12mg scoop. It is such a small amount that it's a pita to weigh.

I use a digital scale and mix 5grams into water and keep it refrigerated. I just shake before use and use a syringe without needle to dose with. Pretty quick n easy

I don't notice its short half life, but I only use the stuff occasionally to up my moods when they are low. Normally 1 dose during the day is enough to reset my thoughts if I am low or have bad anxiety. I may only use it (tianeptine) once or twice a week.

I would also add that if you have chronic anxiety or depression you should not be using this without professional advice. As above I only use it occasionally if and when required, max 1 or twice a week.

Any concerns taking Tianeptine while taking ArA? And with some ocasional Alprazolam?

I think you're asking for trouble mixing all these brother. Be careful or ask your Doc.

Alprazolam was prescribed by my Doc and i only take it in SOS.. But if i´ll ask it about ArA and Tieneptine i´m almost sure he never heard about them (at least about ArA) and he starts to guess "Oh supplements? You shouldn´t take that! That the worst thing in the world" if you know what i mean. Here, most of the Doc´s are against them.. including a mere Whey. There are seen like steroids.

Honestly some see them as worse than steroids. Because some of these docs will give any form of HRT like candy but when you mentioned supps will freak out.

I finally decided to give tianeptine a try after reading the mostly positive reviews online. I would have preferred ordering the capsules from SDFT but the cost would have been too high for me to dose at 3 X day. So, I ordered the bulk powder and will fill the capsules myself (using the provided micro scoop). I will add my thoughts/experiences to this thread once I've started it (should arrive in a couple days).

I've had good results on the bulk powder but I found the actual non-generic Stablon to have worked the best for me. Pricey though

Would higher doses of the tianeptine bulk powder compare more to Stablon or does the non-generic version have a different/cleaner feel to it?

Reference the Rx drug "Stablon" to your Doc. He will be able to look that up and research any contraindications ;)

Hrm... Not cleaner, but the last time I was using the powder I seemed to have had to dose a bit higher. The pills have a couple different ingredients in them as well and I'm not sure if they effect metabolism of the drug. This was a topic of discussion over at the Immortality Institute forum.

Combining Stablon with other drugs increases the chance for dyskinesia. I'd be very careful. Also, American doctors don't really have a clue about what Tianeptine is unfortunately

I've only been taking this M-F for the last 2 weeks and don't feel a need to take it 3x a day. Once in the morning seems to be all that is needed as it isn't something that I really "feel", it is just there. And by "there" I mean an overall feeling of simply not thinking or caring about situations in general. Emotions are still there and I am aware, but the inclination to be nervous, mad, sad, etc.. is very controllable. That leads to thinking without the emotional aspect controlling it. I am still on the fence if this is a good thing or if actions should be controlled more by emotion and it being better to take something for particular situations.

If it's being taken strictly for anxiety, I'd say it's a bad choice. It is very effective for what's considered "major depression", or any type of depression / major stress. I tend to take it in the winter for seasonal affective disorder. I'm always super active and outdoors in the summer but tend to get a bit dreary in the winter months

With that being said though, taking it for short periods of time will still have a positive and permanent effect on you because of how it affects neuroplasticity

I still need to go back and read this whole thread, but I guess it is time for me to start looking into some things.

I have been having random really hard heart beats, lasting for any given period of time from 15 minutes to a whole day. It is not brought on by anything, and the beat is not fast. It is around 60-90bpm.

I went to the doctor and he prescribed me Atenolol to take if it is ever above 110bpm, which it is occasionally. I took a two week log of my heart beat when I felt it beating really hard and it was never high at those times. I did end up taking it once while I was at work because it was about 115-120bpm and it dropped it down to about 85bpm.

Anyways, I ended up getting an EKG, blood work, and an ultrasound and everything came back fine. My mom has really bad anxiety and depression and takes tons of medicine for it. My parents are both saying it is probably anxiety even though I don't feel anxious or like anything is wrong with me. I just randomly feel my heart beating out of my chest it seems like. I do not want to start taking prescription medication for this just because I want to avoid that.

I can live with it happening as long as it is not horrible for me, but if anyone has seen or felt anything similar to this I would love to hear some ideas. I would love to run Tren but am not sure if it would make it much worse. I ran oral Tren once and felt this similar thing at night while watching tv but it went away when I stopped and did not happen very often while on. It has since gotten more frequent like multiple times and days a week. I have tried stopped stimulants and that hasn't worked.

Like I said, I do not feel anxious or anything like that I just can feel my heart beating really hard and it is just annoying to be honest. I don't want to completely restrict things I enjoy because of it.

I have been dealing with a similar issue the past 3 months. Except for me it is heart palpitations. I did some research and I did read that there is a phenomenon where you can be extremely anxious and depressed but not even realize it or "feel it". Im guessing its caused by desensitization to the feeling of being anxious over time, even though the stressors that are in your environment havent changed or may have even gotten worse.

Do either of you guys experience chest pain when that's happening?

I have once while it was happening, but it felt more tight than anything though.

Other times though I feel random pain that feels like it's shooting to or from my heart, but that is not at the same time the hard beating is.

I have that feeling.. Really hard beats but normal bpm. I feel my heart beating over my all body. If i´m still, i even feel my body shaking with the beats.

However i have acute GAD with agoraphobia and panic attacks. During a panic attack or in a extreme anxious situation i really don´t know if my bpm increases or not, because in that moment only thing i can think and wish is that stops.. But i feel those hard beats sometimes even in mild anxious situations without panic attacks.

About chest pain, i don´t have.. I mean, sometimes i feel a rapid and sharp heart pain but it´s like 2 or 3 times per year. However, i don´t know if it´s related with the anxiety or some flatuence i´m having lately.

Nope no chest pain for me. Sometimes light headedness/ rapid heart beat for a few moments after a heavy set at the gym or just after sitting down for long periods of time and then standing up

I haven't had chest pain until recently, but it's while I've had anxiety from Norcodrene that I just started again a few days ago.
But more interestingly, you can have chest pain from flatulence?! I feel like I'm missing something here...

You can have gas pains under your ribs. I'd guess that what he's referring too ;)

I have so many random pains all over my body all the time and so many problems that if I was to tell a doctor they would think I'm crazy. Lol
