4/5
Full disclosure: Chuck from Get Diesel provided me a tub of NOS ETHER to review, free of charge. Despite this, my review will remain unbiased and honest. Chuck is a great guy and answered about a dozen questions I had regarding NOS ETHER, so I believe he and his company truly stand behind their products.
I'm always looking for a good non-stim product to take during caffeine breaks, as well as to supplement a good stim-based product. As such, I used NOS ETHER in both capacities -- for about a week with no stims, and then one week with stims.
So after a few weeks of using the product, here are my thoughts:
FLAVOR (5/5)
Diesel Punch flavor is where it's at. One of the few supplements I wouldn't mind drinking recreationally! Sweet, but not overly, and tastes like Hawaiian Punch.
INGREDIENT PROFILE/DOSING (5/5)
Get Diesel kicks it old school here with a massive 17.6g scoop full of more ingredients than I can possibly list. This is not your modern micro-scoop product. Each scoop contains creatine, CoQ10, Citruline Malate, L-Arginine AKG, Taurine, Acetyl L-Carnitine HCL, Beta Alanine, Acetyl L-Tyrosine, Choline Bitartrate, and on and on. You definitely get a lot for the money here.
Dosing is weight-specific, ranging from 1/2 up to 2 scoops, depending on body weight. I use one scoop pre- and one post- workout.
EFFECTS (3.5/5)
NOS ETHER promises intense pumps, increased strength, endurance, and cognitive benefits.
Pump: didn't really experience much additional pump. But, I typically don't respond to pump products, so I may be an outlier.
Cognitive/Focus: despite the great blend of nootropic ingredients, on its own I can't say I saw much benefit in the focus area. However once I stacked it with a stim-based product, I felt far more "dialed in."
Strength/Endurance: Definitely noticed an increased in strength and endurance. The weights felt far easier and my energy was sustained far longer than previous workouts. But be patient, as I didn't see results until about 8-9 days in to using the product.
Recovery: this one surprised me. My recovery improved drastically, which I think is the biggest benefit of NOS ETHER. Normally my legs take FOREVER to recover, but I noticed I was feeling better the very next day while on NOS ETHER. For that reason alone, it's worth keeping in my arsenal.
SIDE EFFECTS (5/5)
None that I noticed. No stomach distress or cramping, and since there are no stimulants, there is obviously no crash/jitteriness.
MIXABILITY (3/5)
Blender ball required here. As mentioned up top, big scoop + lots of ingredients means lots of water and shaking. Mixability isn't 100%, as there were some floaters and sediment on the bottom, but this isn't a deal breaker.
VALUE/FINAL VERDICT (4/5)
As I mentioned, I tried NOS ETHER on its own as part of a stim-break, as well as stacking it with stim pre-workouts -- including Get Diesel's flagship JP8X Hardcore. It works well in both capacities, so long as you're consistent with the dosing. Chuck confirmed that it may take up to 9 days or so to really see results, but once you do, the results are very noticeable.
NOS ETHER is on the higher end price-wise, but I think considering this is a complete product, covering you from every conceivable angle, thus eliminating the need for multiple products, the value is definitely there. Each tub has 60 scoops, so even if you're taking 2 scoops per day, there is still a full month's worth in each tub.
There aren't many products I give full endorsement to go out and try, but NOS ETHER is on that list. Go get it!
