Okay so just curious on what others think or if there's an actual formula or numbers but what would say 4 reps of a 3 sec pause and be if done touch and go? Would it be like 2 more reps? Double the reps? And same for reps with 5 second pauses. Like would one 5 sec pauses = 3 reps touch n go?

Like L&S said, it's different. Run it for some weeks and then compare it and you'll have your personalized answer.

You're lucky SoupNaziNazi, most people who suffer from paralysis by analysis aren't nearly as strong as you are! You must be good at leaving your brain at the front desk and getting after it in the gym. I commend you. Just let things play out for a month at a time before you go into analyze mode. Your gains won't suffer and it won't take up as much of your time either!

Its hard to compare touch and go with paused reps but i dont really do paused reps cause i dont focus on powerlifting as much as i do bodybuilding. If you are a powerlifter and planning on competing in a meet i would definitely suggest the pause and go reps, but otherwise i would do the touch and go for all your training whether going heavy or light. Thats just my opinion though haha
