Vitamin D3 dosage question

What exactly are you taking it for and have you done lab tests for the one you're using. If yes, can you share?

Are you guys seeing results I'm lab work too? I'm doing a 5000 in the morning and a
2500 mid day and before bed. The brand is Country Life. I'm questioning quality.

It is not really something you will feel or see instantly.
What has you questioning quality?

Interesting. First Ive come across it being used for an anabolic effect. Seen research indicating it reduces muscular atrophy in the elderly but first ive sen it mentioned in an anabolic context. wouldn't have been the first supplement I'd have opted for but interesting.

I'm using it to help with anabolic affect and fat loss

I've used between 5-10k a day for about 6 months. Country life brand. Didn't felt any difference but I've alwyas thought Country life is a good brand.
Maybe the effects, in someone not deficient in it, are subtle

I want to say there was a study done in the late 70's showing increases in muscle mass with vitamin D supplementation but results were never duplicated.

On a higher day, around 16-20,000IU. Minimum is probably around 10,000IU. I get mine from Costco.

You realise that this dosage level is potentially dangerous, right?

"Research suggests that the true safe upper limit is 10,000IU/day" (from all sources)

Very interesting. I was only concerned with toxicity which is at 40,000. Thanks for the info, I will try lowering it to 10,000.

I'm running 6000 U. The only one that I use and shows on bloodwork is Invalid Link Removed

This should be a concern. I have no idea which brands are legit but I am reading a lot of disappointing posts all over the net about people using copious doses of D and getting zero results to prove its legitimacy via blood work.
