Lol holy crap.

MFP doesnt even have advertisements or a download cost at least on mobile

Wondering if this will change now... In app ads maybe.

Awhile ago, UA either bought MapMyRun or entered into a partnership deal - either way, the 'UA' logo is now on the app icon.

There's a free version (mobile) but I've noticed not only increased ads but after you log a workout, it takes you to a full screen ad that you need to close out before finalizing. Of course, you can upgrade to the 'MVP' version for a fee and not see the ads.

I forget the charge but it was pretty hefty for a mobile app (IMO).

Other than the slight inconvenience of that one daggone screen, the mobile app functions just fine. Maybe they'll put an add after finalizing the daily entry? Regardless, based on MapMyRun, I wouldn't worry too much about UA taking over MyFitnessPal.

it better not change or get revamped, i have a 695 day streak going!! but dang thats a lot of $$$$

I use MFP every day, but it has been very buggy for me lately. All kinds of weirdness going on with the main page and calories displaying wrong. Will be interesting to see how it develops now. Hopefully won't change much, as when it works, it works exceptionally well. I didn't even know this kind of thing was in their wheel house tbh, but they're branching out it seems.
