6 weeks out from Phoenix Europa

That impressive man. What was ur water and sodium protocol? Keep water high til day of and drop sodium day before? Just curious...

I'm still learning my body but man the water/sodium complex is killing my physique.

Thanks man! It actually changes somewhat depending on how I'm looking heading into peak week. Sometimes I don't mess with sodium at all. I never cut Na completely. Typically I start increasing water the sunday before to like 2.5 gallons, then cut it back to minimal about 18 hours before prejudging.

Huh, I have about a 12hr window of dryness when I cut water down below a gallon a day. After that I go flat and dehydrate to the point that the water leaves my muscle and hits the skin. It looks terrible on me.

I feel like I need to cut from absurdly high intake down to just normal intake the day before. Maybe go from 2G to 1G or something like that. I also notice better pumps and fullness when I keep sodium normal.

Nationals coming up quick! I'm weighing about 3 lbs less than I did this far out from phoenix...coming in a lot tighter!

Well...didn't get the placing I was after. Ended up taking 15th out of 41 lhw. Gotta bring the glutes in tighter is the main thing. Other than that, I was pretty happy with how I looked. Nothing to do now but keep pushing, keep getting better. Planning on moving up to heavys this next year. And planning on keeping a log going this offseason for my own motivation and hopefully bring some good info to the board

Some shots from nats:

You look fantastic. My 1 piece of advice is to be careful trying to make 198. You could easily ruin your look that way.

Compete wherever you look best. Personally, I would drop 10 lbs of water my last few days.

I have lost the overall to a middle weight (I was a lt. heavy) before. Harden up your quads a bit and you will be very hard to beat regardless of weight.

This is advice for next year: You need 8 more lbs of muscle on your back if you want to get your pro card.

With a bigger back, I honestly think you will beat pretty much anyone. You have a small waist which is what they want nowadays.

W/a bigger back, you will be a major threat at the 212 class.

EDIT: Oops, sorry just read about your placing. Yes, glutes could be harder....you also seem to be holding water in your abs.

What did you do during last week? Deplete and load?

Still, you probably could have placed a bit higher. I have learned that the judges need to see you a few times before moving your placement up.

One other thing: You are definitely shredded. Quads are huge and cut. The only thing missing is a little more feathering. I am being nit-picky here but we are talking top 5 at the national level. Did you stop training legs 12 days out from the show?

Did you lay around with your legs elevated 2 days before show?

That is when every last detail will come in.

Thanks brother. Workin in making some big changes. Taking a long offseason and just peaking for nationals this year. Sitting 15 lbs heavier than I've ever been right now. Staying lean. And still with time to grow?

Mainly just needed to be leaner last year. That was my 4th competition of the year...it seemed like my body just went into lockdown and didn't want to lose that last little bit
