Dmax's pursuit for power & performance

And yes, intra carbs (Gatorade) and BCAAs keep me going. I notice a drop off in performance towards the end of my workouts without in. Keep in mind I'm in the gym for 2 hours most days.

I do BCAAs. Now keep in mind I am training fasted 99% of the time bc I have to wake up earlier than my body wants to to train, so it like pre workout only. I was thinking about how meadows does the HBCD intra, and claims it GOAT.

I may grab some Carbonx grap to throw in my tri-pep grape for the grape glory of the gods for a week.

Is there grape Gatorade powder? Edit: I'm usually 2 hours ish too

I've only found blueberry and lemon lime. I've been doin lemon lime with cotton candy pw and tastes awesome. (don't take this as a supp plug please)

Blueberry and watermelon mbcaa+ was a good combo too. Lemon lime and amino iv cherry limeade is also pretty tasty

I think we should all post total lift time on our next squat days. From beginning warmup to final exercise of the day. I'd be interested to see our training times out of curiosity.

Mine can drag on weekdays closer to 3hrs with all the volume and today with working in and helping got there at 730 didn't leave till about 11ish

Interdasting. Only thing is I have this predicament where I have like 3 tubs of grape. I love me some grape drank

Edit: found glacier freeze!

And as far as the RUM stuff, is it me or does it seem like some of these guys do 1 rep maxes all the time?

Yes. I'm subscribed to a lot of YouTube channels and I've noticed this trend.

it's crazy bc I see Cummings doing a PR single line every freaking week.

I noticed this too. I don't think I could do a heavy singles week every week and not crash (without being on gear). I also see a lot of people DLing and squaring 3 or more times a week (online).

I am relatively fasted with a portion of a protein shake I use as coffee creamer.

Jealous of you guys who get that much time in the gym. I get 1-1:20 on week days and maybe closer to 2 on weekends. I kinda fly through my work ups tho, and will on work sets if I'm not beat up. I guess this may change when my weights get higher...

My compound movements on 5's week takes about 45-60 min, 3's week 30-ish minutes, and singles 45ish min, FWIW.

Shoulder and elbow were giving me fits today not sure why. Wanted to hit 275 for 3 just never happened. Did my first set of 5 with my feet tucked way under wasn't bad but was sort of a struggle on the 5th, second set of 5 Joe had me move my feet out more this made a big difference could really feel the drive kicking in.
Believe it or not I wasn't even going to go for the 225 but changed my mind last min and I'm glad I did or I would have never hit that big rep pr with the new leg drive

Afterwards I was beat up so took it easy on assistance work then got rolled out by the getto X wife we got this was my first time and amazing

Post workout shake, 60grams honey, 8oz 2%milk, 6oz water, 1 scoop quest protein, 5grams creatine, 3grams Leucine

Some good work man! If you are close on a bad day you'd def have it a day you feel 100%

I look at productive workouts when I'm hurting, even prless, as progress.

Nice lifts this weekend man. Killing it! My squat days take a while some times. I usually cut backs a bit on days I have work and get in and out in an hour- hour fifteen. On days I'm off ill take my time and do more accessory stuff maybe go towards an hour and a half. Upper body stuff is always quicker in and out in about an hour max.

Thanks everybody
Mine have been long winded just because I got the time being off work and all mite as well take advantage right

So if this week is any indication of how this diet is going to work I'm sold I feel great leg aren't sore at all after all that work the only place that hurts slightly is where the bar was resting on shoulders

2300 calorie day today Woot only good thing about today is I don't have to eat fat free cheese lol

Looking forward to tomorrow's workout I was doing 10lbs jumps a week with the bands but that would put me at 310 I'm think of just going 315, 5lbs isn't going to make or break me lol going to make sure I get a vid for u guys, to see if I made the appropriate corrects you suggested

Also I like this videos want are your thoughts on what he is saying

Fixing your low bar squat: Invalid Link Removed

I've watched the video before.

My 2 cents: I hear what he's saying, but I disagree. It's impossible to get as tight with your hands towards the collars as you'd be able to them in as much as possible.

Now, if this moving your hands in is causing you pain then, by all means, move them out. For me, I've adopted a bent back wrists with wrist wraps rack positioning. I'm able to get in tight and my bicep tendon pain I was experiencing from a more traditional set-up is gone.

I've seen that vid a few times - i personally liked what he was saying, as it made sense about weight on your back vs in hands. I still set up basically the same, hands maybe a couple inches wider, but seeing him walk thru it made some things click for me and haven't had any signs of pain

I never knew I was riding the bar high I always thought it was where it was supposed to be till brain said something to me last week. I respect the opinions of the people in our crew and who better to make the transition with then them so I'm trying to make the switch

Eric lillebridge squatted high bar until like 800 something pounds. I think it's safe to say you don't NEED to squat low-bar if you don't want to

I think I read somewhere that you are almost always giving up weight by doing high bar, it doesn't bother me though.

Anyone reading the reddit stuff from chis Duffin some good stuff. I love his views especially when he talks about man hood

This is what I'm told as well.

Same with sumo's, but I love conv DL.

I feel like technique wise sumo is more difficult but once u get it down u can move more weight easier but I have not done enough of it to confirm this

Tough call on the deads bc in pretty sure most of the biggest deads ever are conventional. Granted there are some large sumo pullers, too. Then there is the Coan hybrid style.

I'd say it probably would have a lot to do with anthropometry.

This right here makes me think I'm not working hard enough/work harder

That last line hit the nail on the head.

Keep in mind he's much stronger and smarter than I. Just giving my opinion

The main thing about hands on the collars for him is he's 280 and has so much muscle in the shoulder girdle. I watched Allen Baria squat with his wrists bent back and his hands on the collars, but I can't describe to you how big the upper body is on a guy like him that can bench 600 raw.

What Cincy said. The muscle on that chick is unreal. I've seen one, maybe two 181 men that could hang with her in a posedown. She squatted 550 at that pro am and got called on depth.

Deadlift was good last set was slowish grip felt weak today could have gotten more on down set but I told myself 10 but when I got there at held it then was like **** it I got more lol

Front squat felt heavy but I wanted to push it so belted up 300 felt light so when 3 plates first rep I felt sucked so I went for the second

Nice work man! You said it your self about the front squats that second rep was butter smooth tho. On the box squats it looks like your back needs to be more horizontal to avoid that little plop you do for the last inch or two. Or maybe just a touch too wide with the feet. Just my opinion, I suck at box squats and don't low bar squat. Take it for what it's worth lol.
