Journey to Elite

Should also add that I'll still be doing most accessories beltless. The SG SLDL today were done so and I'll be keeping that for my GM, front squat, speed squats, etc. as well.

Impressive squats man.

Thanks, man. It didn't feel heavy on my back today, which is great. The SSB work was technically heavier at the top with the chains, but I find it easier to hold technique on them because they force you to stay completely rigid. The straight bar throws me off on occasion as I'll forgot to compress my core and brace the lats.

Sad day for me: one of my Metal forearm wraps finally ripped. I've used this on my biceps for years for compression and shoulder allegation and it finally bit the dust. Other than that, felt great and really pushed the arm and delt work for the day. Had more work done to my lats and RC after training. Still hurt like hell.

RIP metal wraps.

RIP metal wraps.

It came in a pair, but I have zero idea as to where the other one is. Forgot to add that I used my Metal Silver wraps on Sunday, but they have so little life in them. I've had them for over 2 years (my first wrap) and they're like a thick Ace bandage now.

Sounds like you have a set of occlusion wraps now

Was in a fantastic mood today and wanted to pull heavy. Everything up until 601 was flying up. Tried 651 twice, but failed each time. First one was ~2" of ******* and was out of gas by the second one. I'm so far out from a meet that I just wanted to have fun today.

Benching felt good and fast. Threw on the Ram for pec protection more so than overload, but I obviously did throw in some overload as a result. Easily could've tripled each set at 315, but didn't want to push it too much.

Rep looked rough, but it didn't feel heavy on my back. Hips are feeling really good since I've been working out my calves and doing a glute specific warmup.

Just looks like.good attempt selection, man. Seemed like a true max. Your wrap did seem to cover a lot of territory rather than being stacked up behind the knee, but I'm with Lou. The knees did kick forward a bit, but it wasn't a big problem. Pretty awesome to hit a number I remember being your full gear max in only briefs.

My briefs are loose in the hips. I need to have them take in somewhere between 1/4-1/2" on each side at the hips. I've resisted the temptation to one of those, "I need my gear tighter," guys, but there's a difference between ridiculously tight and appropriately fitted.

Get it fitted then

For the first time since late 2013, I was able to floor press without pain, which is ****ing wonderful as it allows me to add something to the rotation. I hope to I'll be able to add in dips in the near future as it's the only other thing that I haven't been able to add back.

Congrats on the floor presses. Arching usually helps with any shoulder pain while doing them.

Pulls felt like 135 today. I was able to really get my positioning and tightness down for each set. Decided to go with some heavy GM since I only did speed pulls and did so without a belt. They felt great and I know that my back has gotten much stronger from the additional work.

I brought my shirt to see how it would fit with some help from the bar. I was able to get the left sleeve in place, but still needed to get the right a tad higher. I'm sitting in the high 220s right now and I'll definitely have to make the sleeve a bit bigger.

Told you she would make it fit a like a glove, i tight one at that.

<img src="http://anabolicminds.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=113182"/> Just a tad snug. I'll wet it down before I really try to put on when I bench.

Did she reinforce the sleeve?

That looks like it's gonna hurt, and leave some marks...

Added a little to it for my long ass arms and, yes, it's going to leave my biceps pretty torn up. I can already tell this is going to be a monster shirt.

Gotta shirt question for you: how to make it looser and easier to touch? I was told by herderdude to rotate the sleeves out when putting the shirt on I believe, correct? Also should I wet the chest plate? I already jack the chest plate up to my neck.

Wet chest plate, tuck harder, go faster, and pry the chest plate open prior to use.

Nomz, I just don't wet the shirt, I soak the f'ing thing on every seam w a spray bottle.

It really helps breaking it in and mine doesn't tear me up as much...

Single ply is a little different than multiply. Wetting the shirt makes it a little more stretchy and can make it easier to hit the groove. Rotating the sleeves will give you more pop, but I believe it also makes it harder to touch as well. Throw up a video next time you use it and I'll be able to help more because it's all highly subjective regarding the technique needed.

Alright thanks guys. I'll bench tonight and make sure to get multiple vids.

Test drive on the shirt. It felt great and there's a lot of pop in the fücker. Legs weren't fully under me and still got some decent sets in today. Funny story: the seam on my last set felt like it nearly ripped off my nipple. I'll have to figure out something to do about that.
