Article: The 3 Worst Types of Conditioning

The bear crawl, meaning how we use to crawl through forests when we hunted. Before modern times? You mean, that's damaging!? Oh boy, didn't know such a movement could hurt me. More bs.

I recently went through firefighter rookie school. I was healthy when I started, but after 6 months of constant PT which included bear crawls, burpees, and running stairs my body decided it could take no more. I am nearly 6ft tall and weigh around 220 my knees, shoulders and wrists felt like they were that of a 60 year old man (I am 30) while these movements may not be damaging short term, I can personally say the long term effects are brutal! I am finally back to health after completing school (nearly a year ago) needles to say these movements never present themselves in any of my workouts...EVER...for
The rest of my life!! We are not animals...this is not BS! ...IMHO

Everyone has their own opinions.
Think of it this way, you also don't have the conditioning our ancestors had.
Likely don't live a life like they did.
Probably a lot of sitting and things of the sort.
Being physically healthy, goes outside of lifting in the gym and occasional "running"

Hmmm so you were there and actually took part or at least witnessed this? If this was so effective why arent we still doing it.

Well, the obvious answer is of course we have no use for it anymore.
We have me use for walking all day and hunting. Sprinting. Climbing ****. For food. Because, you can drive to McDonald's and eat in your car.
Our primal movements are no longer needed. And, we are screwing ourselves because of this aspect.

I would have to believe if our ancestors had cars and easier access to food they would go the easier route. They did what they did because they were forced too not because its better. I still highly doubt humans bear crawled through the woods to to anything its not an effiecient way of movement

Please tell me why it isn't?

I live 22 miles from work.

Right because driving is more efficient hence my point if cavemen had cars and rifles even grocery stores they would have used them too

Because your logic makes sense?
We have adapted backwards into a lazy, "food" overloaded world.
If you call half the **** now days food.
