Looking for advice in dealing with an Endo

A friend of mine is seeing an Endo, he was prescribed roll on and shots after BW confirmed low T, he went for a followup and his test did not go up much at all according to his last blood test. His Endo again asked him at the followup if he has had a traumatic brain injury or has used anabolics in the past, his answer was no, and the endo is attributing his low T to sleep apnea. The reason for this post is A- I am looking into seeing the same Endo since I removed his stitches from a knee surgery he had by an Ortho i worked for for several years and is well known and respected in the area. I hope because of this he doesn't treat me like a drug seeker. B- Because I HAVE had SEVERAL bad head injuries AND used anabolics in the past(When i was 23 im 35 now). I am positive my test is low even though I train and eat well, My question is in what way would the treatment be for someone who has had a history of head trauma and use of anabolics differ from some one who hasn't? Thanks for reading my book, feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I don't understand what you trying to say under "A" but to answer your "B" question, it is likely to determine the cause of your hypogonadism - primary or secondary. I would go into greater detail but don't have time right now. Google primary vs. secondary hypogonadism. The outcome is the same (low T) but the mechanism that causes your low T is different (primary is due to testicles, secondary to a hypothalamus or pituitary problem)

Thanks man, i've looked into primary vs. secondary Hypogonadism before, I just hope he doesn't kick me out his office if im forthcoming on my prior steroid use lol or would he be more likely to treat me seeing that im not scared to do what it takes to get a desired result.

Regardless of the cause, if you are suffering from low T then a doctor should treat you appropriately. Low T can lead to a number of other medical issues down the road (not to mention how bad it sucks having no energy, sex drive, etc.). Besides, although I have noticed a much better quality of life since starting trt, my ability to put on muscle has not increased to any great extent. If want the true anabolic side effects, you will have to pin over what is prescribed to keep you "normal."

If your doctor won't treat you move on. You will find someone that will. I went to two endos who I didn't feel comfortable with (they were not specialized in male issues/low t) so I finally met with a urologist from the Cleveland Clinic who is awesome. I am on Clomid because of fertility issues and will be switched over to test once the baby making is over. He knows I used PHs in the past (not much, just one cycle) but didn't even think that had anything to do with it. So, be open and honest. Lay it all out so they can treat you properly. And if you want to have kids anytime soon, definitely discuss Clomid or you risk infertility.

Good luck bro!

Thanks man, it's just that I've worked for surgeons and pain management docs and their all paranoid that everyone is a drug seeker or a professional victim looking for a lawsuit and assumed endos operate in a similar fashion, I've been reading articles where docs are complaining about frivolous testosterone rxs and wanting stricter guidelines etc.. so I guess I'm a Lil worried, thanks for helping a brother out.
