Country Gets HUGE with 5-3-1, Erase and DAA.

Anyone else hunting? I'm stuck between work and class for a few more days but gona try to get out ASAP. I did make a fishing trip Saturday for some brooks and browns.

Yeah - well once, managed to get out for opening day. Just straight missed a buck in the morning, then got a doe later in the day. Was hoping to get out fishing with the warm spell we've had recently, but with the holidays & such, fall/winter weekends get booked up too fast.

That's a bummer. I missed opening day today sadly. I fish year round pretty much haha. Any temp.
 
Anyone recommend any good supplements right now? I haven't taken anything in ages other than protein and a little creating and preworkout haha.

Don't really wana do a PH yet at this time.

What do ya got? That really works. I really don't believe 99.9% of stuff is worth the $/even does anything other than placebo.
 
I'm going to start MASS 550 soon. I've heard a lot of good about it but have yet to try it myself.

I also have Osta on my todo list.

I'm excited to try both of those. I've never taken the PH route, yet.
 
Sounds good. Let me know how you like them. I know I have a lot of Natty gains to make and form improvements etc diet sleep etc I can improve still so I need to get on that stuff. I like products like creating; betaine, beta alanine etc that actually work and help in the workout. I'm always iffy about natty products that claim to be hormonal etc.

Recovery day for me now. Legs are starting to get DOMs from those squats hahaha.
 
Did my recovery workout. Biked a mile and a half at as hard of a setting as I could do. 5 minutes. Similar to walking w a sled or prowling.

Some light arms core and neutral pull-ups.

Did band pull a parts and my shoulders lit up. Bad. Did some flys then stretched.

Hans hurt today so gona chill and do body weight/stretch only since this is a deload and pull as soon as I feel ready.
 
Brother got a nice buck today but one half the rack was like deformed. A nice 4 on the other side. Also shot a coyote at daybreak on our farm just as he was gettin to our stands. Told him to leave some for me hahaha. Not many big bucks taken locally yet so they are still out there.

Caught nice brooks and browns Saturday, can't wait to head back out after rifle season is over.


Not sure when I'm gona make it to the gym, did some work on my hand and its feeling a bit better. Still gona try and squeeze in tomorrow might modify my light week some well see.
 
Congrats to your bro. Someone at our camp said he got one earlier during bow season that had a deformed antler, but I never saw it.

Hoping my kiddo gets his fort this year.

Nice squat/deadlift days. Solid plan. As for supps i feel the same, I never see a big boost from anything. I got some of that epi stuff stocked, ill run that early next year ill let you know how it goes. I've been doing good just on my pre (nitramine), creatine, and a scoop of whey though lol.

Word. You got an epicatechin product? I'm doing good. Will be happy to be on a good diet for the next month when I'm back home for the holidays.
 
Half natty 4 lyfe crew. That's the new response to the "do you do steroids?" question haha.

But yeah I got some of that. It's been sitting in my box of unused stuff, mostly free samples and other useless things that came with good deals (stim free fat burners and the like). I'm gonna use it whenever I start my next cycle of 5/3/1 I think.
 
Pulled tonight. Had to lift at school. It sucks.

Had to be the patient for an aerobic cycling test about 30 minutes before gym, so my legs were shot. Whatever. Felt like crap from studying and stuff so much lately.

Got in, did my warm ups. 370x5, 430x5, 475x5. was supposed to be 485, but the bar wouldn't hold that much and the 5s kept falling off. We don't have 35s at my gym. It's stupid. I used straps after 315 to keep my hand from getting worse and that worked well. Might continue using them up to the meet even though I don't like to.

That's about all I have to say.
 
Eh just use a sh!tload of magnets to get the weight :)

Thanks man. The reps were relatively easy but my legs were screaming from the biking. Also need a big knot worked out of my back haha.

Recovery day. I feel super awesome now compared to last night. I got good sleep last night and ate good too. Hand is feeling find so the straps definitely helped protect my hand. I'll update workout details later.
 
Biked HIIT style with 10 second sprints and then rest periods at a lighter resistance. Good lower recovery workout. Did a crap load of machine work with back extension but I do it like a pull/squat so knees and hips flexed and extend both through the range. Did some shoulder mobility, and a few other things. Scrapped some adhesions off my shoulder and did trap trigger points an first rib mobilization. Helped a kid w his squat form too.
 
I've been humbled before by a pretty intense cycling workout

Haha I love it! Just not doing it to the cardio extent. Mostly conditioning and warm up and recovery in place of a sled/prowler and lack of heavy kettle bells.
 
I feel ya with the studying man. At least ur making it in the gym. good side of studying is the recovery I get. The bad side is u get so stiff from not moving all day.

Haha I get physical recovery but not mental and really takes my focus out of the gym which I hate. And yeah I like to be active all day work outside or hunting fishing etc. hate sitting.

One final paper down, 2 final tests down and some projects. One paper project and 2 cumulative finals left. Done Wednesday morning. Hitting the gym Wednesday evening back at home!

Think I will squat tomorrow and then bench and pull both on Wednesday at the Haus. I'm Gona try to bench first and work up to a heavy double or single with good equipment and then go for some pulls at 95% Training Max which is around 525. Probably form singles and maybe a double or triple after a few singles. Got some things to fix.


Body has been feeling good so I'm Gona ride out this deload. Tomorrow I'm Gona squat for mid range reps and maybe a heavy single (410 opener probably) and next weekend whenever we lift ill just be doing some controlled lighter reps and and add in pulls . Today is 2 weeks out from the meet. I'll probably bench light early in the meet week then as well then deload.
 
Squats this afternoon even though my traps are sore as heck. My upper back is getting its work lately that's for sure hahaha.

This is a normal deload week anyways so I'm still Gona keep it light. I seriously think my SIJ has been out the last few weeks since I felt that tweak so I'm Gona have my PT check when I get home. I can feel it and Dave asked me about it because he could visually see something off last week. Might explain a lot.


Stayed belt less and did 5 sets of 3 at 225 and 3 sets of 3 brief pause at 275. Not really taxing but I feel like garbage and sitting all day has me feeling like trash as far as my hips and back go. Gona leave some in the tank so I can pull Wednesday and ill squat some mid 3s for sub maximal reps next weekend before I deload.
 
First cumulative exam this morning and I learned why I'm not an Econ major. Good news is I went into the final with a high A.

Back to studying now. Can't wait to be done tomorrow and go lift without all this on my mind.

I went from A's in engineering into my last math class - killed me... Then the dean of our school took over my thermo class when they fired the prof mid-term - killed my grades again. I'm a graphic designer now...lol

but yeah - school is way better than the desk job....

Yes it is. Eh. I think my job will be nicer than classes haha. But college is enjoyable when you're not going crazy studying. Yeah, engineering is tough. good stuff. I did bench, was going to deadlift to opener but wasnt feeling it. Plan is to deadlift to my opener on friday as long as I feel better, and squat some reps in the mid 3s.

Bench warm up etc. 225x5, 245x3 paused, 265x2 paused, 285x1 paused, 295x1 paused, 275x2 paused, 225x7 paused, RPE 8. PRs on all the paused work over 265, second highest bench since I got hurt, other was 305 back in like june. I felt awful today. Upper back needs recovery bad.

Thanks guys. Feels good this morning too. I am having trouble with getting my pecs involved in my press now though, not sure what I'm doing different. I'm not even sore this morning yet, we will see if I get DOMs. I wasn't getting a pump in my chest or really feeling a burn or fatigue. Just generally like my form was holding me up.
 
Nice lifting man! I feel bench more in my pecs when my grip is a hair wider. When I'm inside say pinky on rings I don't feel it in my chest at all. Good to hear you are pressing pain free tho!
 
Hey man, if heavy benching doesn't stimulate your pecs it ain't no thang. Just hit it in your accessory work. Perhaps the best technique for your leverages will not involve your pecs.

I need to get used to the different bench and bar. Might inch out a big. Went pinky and rings on different sets this time. Getting my setup tuck an touch back on track.

Good point and I will have to. I did notice I lost a lot of size in my chest though over the past year from no benching. I felt it in my tris a little bit but overall the movement just felt hard/ bad but no part of my is sore and I honestly didn't feel like I worked out hard after that which is weird because it was a pretty good session with a lot of weight and reps of paused work. Lol. Oh well. I got a little tighter through the day. Once I get form back on point maybe ill feel like I hit it a little better.


Going out for Bambi tomorrow and Gona try to enjoy the last few days of rifle season and get some meat in the freezer.

had the straps on to save my hands and let that bruise heal so I can bench at the meet. it's feeling a lot better but I can tell would have issues if I'm not careful. gona stay on top of it now. Dead form is a little off still and I'm beat but it's not bad. I'm getting excited for this meet though.

Yep. One week out from today. In monessen pa so only about 1.5 hours for me.
 
Apparently this meet is flat feet benching. Wish I had read that before Wednesday. But no problem I can do both.
 
No, your feet have to be flat on the floor. You can arch with heels on the floor, oly shoes and adequate dorsiflexion play a role in this.

What's the purpose of having a heels down only press?
