that game yesterday sucked. I was down there freezing my balls off watching the Texans of all teams march up and down the field lol. the browns looked real bad... still thinking this is an 8-8 football team, until proven wrong. 8-8 is still a success in my eyes though.

when JJ Watt got those 2 roughing the punter calls that was hilarious though. everyone was shouting shyt.. the only good part of that game tbh.
 
Football pisses me off this year. Only thing that happened good for me was the Eagles getting annihilated, which stops them from talking **** about how my giants blow lol

JJ is a beast man. Great player. Browns have made some strides this year, but they just aren't consistent like the rest of the mid pack teams.

yeah I'd take this team over any team in the past 10 years. ESPN mag had us going like 1-15 or 2-14 in the preseason ranking thing they do each year. everything about this team is very inconsistent though.
 
The browns have zero consistency. Completely different team week to week.

But yes 8-8 is a success in my eyes. Sadly.

No, I realized what he did was probably the right thing for his career. He almost needed to leave, to just prove to the cavs management that they needed to reshape the way they ran the team, and also to win some rings. Honestly I don't think we would of won anything with or without him, now we can cause of love, bron, and kyrie.

Thoughts:
Great day. Really feel like I'm dialing my squats in. Big PRs. I'd gauge my 400x2 at an RPE 8.5. Gun to my head I think I had two more in me. I'll keep it in the tank though.

Bench was meh. Weights were easy, but for whatever reason the floor near the benches was slick. Couldn't set up for ****. Sucked.

Critique my skawtz, please. Always eager to improve.

Thanks, sean! Felt strong. I'm getting better at getting tight and remaining tight under load.

And lol not yet! I'm going to hit a 500 raw squat first bare minimum.

I'm all for this right here. L&S, your squat lends itself perfectly to wraps. You would get a lot out of your wraps. Probably something softer and springier that won't push you back too much. Nothing to critique on those, they were money.

EDIT: for the record, I have never once in my life squatted 500 raw without wraps. I will one day, only with money on the line or when it becomes a part of my warm-up routine.

Trying to bring me to the dark side! Lol. No but seriously, I just feel like I would be selling myself short hopping into wraps already. Keep in mind I learned how to squat TO DEPTH ~6 months ago. I have no qualms about wrapping up when the time comes. I just don't think the time is now.

You'll know when it's time. You're off to a very fast start, it took me some six months to get up to a 500 wrapped squat after deciding to push weight after years of 225-275lb hip width hams on calves squats.

Working around my hamstring these next few weeks. I'll be back to conventional pulls from the floor next month some time.

Thoughts:
First time using the trap-bar. Awkward at first, and I'm still not sure if I like them. Takes the load off the hammies though so I'll work with it. Like I said, I'll have to up the volume. Today was really just a test day.

Lower body took a beating from the lunges and back raises. Should be sore tomorrow.

Rest of the workout was whatever. Really looking forward to this the end of this training cycle. I need to mix some things up.

Never tried the trap bar myself. I think ours has the same ends to hold weight though as the straight bars.

nice day, yeah the trap bar is different. in high school thats all we really used for deads. more quad involvment for sure.

If you do start pulling with the trap-bar, make sure to include some other hamstring/low back assistance work. And no problem big guy

I tried that, with a tennis ball. Too lazy to run over to dicks to grab me a lacrosse ball. Bit too big, but stil felt good.

And hamstring feels great. They're actually a little sore from leg curls/lunges, haven't done them in awhile. Not going to jump the gun though. I'll get back conventional pulling when the time is right. Trying to play this smart. My squat is progressing and bench is alright so I can't complain!
 
Them trap bar deads/squats work the Quads really well.

We don't have a trap bar here, but there's sort of a plate loading machine with parallel grips to do "trap bar" squats.

They just use it for traps work. Pretty sure they lost their minds when I started doing squats on it.

Well it does have a sticker saying "squats/lunges"
