Should I bulk or continue to cut? Pictures included

I was thinking about continuing my cut until my abs start to show through, but have been pondering a bulk. Also, what are thoughts on something like 6 weeks of bulking, then do 6 weeks of cutting and constantly be alternating those?

I would say bulk. It's cooling down and you already have your abs showing. Just try and keep fat gain as low as possible. Any supplements you have in mind?

Thanks for the advice! I currently take Syntha-6 protein blend and BCAAS. I'm looking for more information on a clean bulk as I'm really not sure the part on nutrient timing. When should I be consuming carbs? I read that it's best to have a high protein and fat breakfast as your body will prioritize fat better rather than carbs for energy, compared to doing a high carb breakfast. After breakfast should I just consume natural carbs throughout the day such as: oats, sweet potatoes, vegetables, brown rice, and high fiber breads? Thanks again!
 
I usually bulk until my abs start blurring out, and check body fat gain week by week with pictures. Once you've reached the point where you lose your abs, start a slow cut back down by removing some, not all, carbohydrates.

As far as your question for carb timing, check out carb back loading. Alot of bodybuilders are starting to use it and I use it myself. I feel alot less lethargic during the day, my appetite stays high, and insulin sensitivity is high without the unnecessary carbs. Definitely keeps unnecessary body fat gain in check.
 
Lean bulk, get some supps like sns creatine or a GDA like glycophase could help out. Check out lyle mcdonald ultimate diet 2.0 or no bs muscle building for cycle dieting..
 
what do you guys think my BF% is? I'm concerned that my bulk will put on too much fat and I won't be able to drop in time to have abs come summertime. My main goal is to have abs by the summertime, do you guys still suggest a clean bulk? I planned to clean bulk to February and that will leave me 4 months to cut, but I'm still not completely sure. I'm only really stumped on this because I've been out of shape my whole life and it's finally coming together for me and I really set the goal for myself to be cut up and shredded by summertime this year. Thanks again!
 
I was 185 with abs and the women liked it, I was in shape.. But I've put on about 50lbs over the last couple years, not all good weight by any means and the same women say I look so much better big an bulky..

I guess it depends on the woman..
 
Yeahhh, age group as well. I'm 21 and most college ladies want those abs. But, at the same time they like the wide shoulders and big chest. That is just basic nature tho.

I had abs at 16-24 though so maybe that's why I had kids around that age lol

Whatever makes you happy is all that matters..
 
But I'm thinking if I were to continue to cut down until I have abs then I wouldn't look like a twig, I'm not that small I don't think! Thoughts?
 
Hah yep 22 in a few months. I figured you were older and usually when the ladies grow out of partyife they want security.. Security = Strength = Alpha male like attributes( job, wide shoulders, solid morals, etc)

But, yeah cutting down to where you have Abs than slowly bulking up is a solid plan as insulin sensitivity will be the best at low bf
 
How much would 2 months of a clean bulk do for me? I was thinking of doing so until the middle of January to ensure I have enough time to cut come summertime?
 
Oh alright, well does anyone else have an idea on if a clean bulk would do me much justice for about 2 months then cut in time for summer? I for sure want abs come summertime, that's my primary goal!
 
I don't think there's a cookie cutter plan, bro. What gets one guy lean makes another fat, etc. I would engage a nutritionist or coach, with experience in bodybuilding, to help you get started. Would take a lot of the guessing game out of things for you.
I dont really have access to anyone unless I asked some random dude at my gym. Do you know anyone on this site that wouldn't mind being bombarded with my questions :P?
