Running 1-DHEA solo with possible 4-DHEA inclusion later

Hello folks,

Have decided to run a cycle of 1-DHEA (1-Androsterone) for the third time and have a bit of a question.

First cycle I didn't experience the lethargy at all but the second time around I was slammed hard. Interestingly the second cycle was at a lesser dose. I was sleeping about 12 hours a day, every day, and still felt rooted upon waking. I also got bad anxiety the second time around which didn't subside for a few months. That said, I did test extremely positive for mercury toxicity shortly thereafter as a result of daily tuna consumption. Mercury is massively neurotoxic so that almost certainly had a lot to do with it but makes it difficult to pinpoint the exact cause.

Second time around I also did 250iu of HCG eod to try and combat atrophy which happened minimally on the first cycle, and ran .25mg arimidex e3d to safeguard from estrogen spikes on the HCG.

I have a feeling that my over protective approach the second time around probably threw everything into confusion and mayhem, and coupled with the mercury everything went to crap.

Perhaps worth noting - I never used a test base on either cycle.

Now with the third cycle happening to tomorrow, I'm hoping to emulate my first wonderful experience and skip the hellish second.

I'm using Finaflex 1-Alpha (190mg) and will dose at 2 caps for 3 weeks, 3 caps for 3 weeks and possibly 4 (or 3) for a possible additional 2.

I was thinking of taking some 4-DHEA (4-Andro RX) to offset the lethargy if it occurs, but will not be taking it unless I feel it's necessary. I also have a box of Testogel but hear that you'd be lucky to get a 10% absorption rate making them worth about 5gm of test per pack. Really curious whether this would be enough to kick the lethargy in the nads or if I would in fact need to purchase the 4-Andro RX.

This leads to my next question which is - if I were to add the test base mid cycle should side effects present themselves, would it start working immediately? Or would it take several weeks to build up in my system before it actually exerted any positive physiological effects?

The web is wonderful, but sometimes, regardless of how much searching you do, you just can't find the answers you're looking for.

Here's hoping someone with such experience can comment.

Thanks all.

If it's a long estered test it will take 3-4 weeks to kick in. You can try propionate that will kick in about a week or so but you will have to inject eod minimum.

I don't see why the testogel you have would not work. It will keep your test levels up and should help with the lethargy. why not give it a shot since your already have it on hand?

Thanks Dez.

I actually don't really want to include a test base, but if I have to it will either be 4-Andro RX or the Testogel I have on hand, so more curious about how long it will take these to take affect.

Unfortunately I'm not sure what ester either of these are.

Testogel should hit you pretty quickly if I'm not mistaken, it's a test base no ester. If i had Testogel I would be using that hands down. I have read up on 4-Andro it isn't a bad option but Testosterone is sooo cheap! I know you only want to use it if necessary but I think in a small dose of test it will benefit you. Just my 2 cents.

The thing is that PCT for Finaflex 1-Alpha at a moderate dose can be done with OTC supplements.
I'm concerned if I add a test base then perhaps I will increase suppression to a point that I will require the use of SERMS, and I don't want to use them due to their hepatoxicity and relation to liver carcinoma.

I have 30 packets of Testogel and the lethargy probably won't kick in for 3 or so weeks, so perhaps I could add the Testogel in the last 30 days if required. This would however more than likely require a more thorough PCT, though. No?

The Testogel is also almost 2 years over it's expiration date - so I'm not sure whether it will work as good as it would have back in the day.

EDIT

It expired on January of this year.

Only nolva is liver toxic

I would start low with the 4-dhea and you should be fine.you can add it if you start feeling lethargic and it should kick in rather quickly. I ran 1&4 with Otc pct and was good but everyone is different and doesn't hurt to have one on hand. You can grab the 4-Andro rx below if you decide to pick it up. I would have it on hand just incase lethargy is real bad.

I've actually managed to find some Dermacrine which I hear is the way to go when running 1-DHEA. Should arrive next week so may include that to balance things out.

Nobody recommended it to me. I've just been reading a lot of positive things about it on various boards and thought it would be a good addition.
