It is a LOT of fiber, so that does help with that quite a bit. But it doesn't lower the total calories any, which can be a problem if you're fighting to max out your intake. Now if you're like me, trying to hold 220 say, it can be a major blessing to not have to eat as much to meet my energy requirements right now.
I don't buy the fiber content listed, quest nutrition got in trouble for listing false fiber content lol
