Feeling the burn with EpiBURN Pro and DCP 2.0

It's a technique I got from a friend of mine who wears one all the time. I found it helped with lifting control and not straining. If I hold my breath or strain at all im likely to blow out my carotid artery in my neck again. He wears his belt for just about everything. Also, my back was so sore after deadlifts that it kept my back straight and took the pressure off the sore muscles there
I also wear my belt on every lift day I agree with you and your friend. For me it's more of a mental thing I've had a few back/disc issues in the past and wearing my belt just makes me feel more comfortable and knock on wood I've not had any issues with my back.

Tim,
He also has his own theory that makes sense, whether or not its accurate he agrees he has no idea lol. Your muscles expand as they grow right? we pump them full of blood and they stretch out and tear and grow bigger. Well he believes this to be true with the abdomen as well.so by wearing a belt and keeping everything tight while lifting, it keeps his waistline smaller. said his waist is a solid two inches smaller since wearing his belt during all his lifts. Don't know if it's fact or not but makes sense to me!

I may be one of those idiots who don't use belts.. Haha. I train heavy but I know my limits and my form is perfect for my body type.. My only complaint is my dang soft hands.. I am however in the market for a new belt once i can afford one

It's also been said that the exact practice he is advocating leads to stomach distention, especially if you're doing heavy lifts where you are intentionally pressing out against it. Take a look at the lifters/bodybuilders who do that and you'll see that they don't have a tighter waist than the rest. Sure, maybe your midsection muscles will atrophy some, but doing a reverse vacuum (relaxing or pushing against the belt) for hours per week will create distention. I've experienced this myself and have struggled with a naturally thick waist for quite some time. Waist size depends on more than just the size fo the muscles in the area. If you're on a mission for a smaller waist regardless of ab definition then I'd just avoid ab training and do vacuums regularly. If it's safety you're after as you mentioned a few posts up then absolutely go ahead and use a belt appropriately. :) As for the shrinking the waist thing, I'd be careful basing your decision on the results of one person.

the reason I use it for the safety issues not to shrink my waist I use a great diet and cardio when I'm on a cut for that.

Right right, absolutely. :) Just trying to clear up that misconception after having heard it from so many people.

I never heard of ppl using it for that but as for me it's safety only. I've hurt my back/disc before that's my main reason/for support.

Levyii, hey missy you still have to post updates in here! Haha. I know you're totally busy. How about a quick post to catch us up on the last week? How is training?

Ahhh!!! I know I'm so bad at this! Ugh this week was a wash. Didn't make it to the gym once! EPIburn has helped keep my weight steady at 118-119 though. These next two weeks are going to be a true test. My parents are coming down to visit and are spending one week at the house then we go to orlando for a week. My plan is to get quick 45 min sessions in before our days start.

Today we are at the beach and tonight is exam #2 in one of my classes. We had doctors appts all this week too. Husband is still cancer free and I'm waiting on ultrasound results to make sure I'm good to go with my stuff. Crazy how life takes over sometimes!

I'm planning on amping up our greens raw juicing as well. We feel amazing when we do. Sorry for taking so long to post! I promise to get better at it!

Update: my parents destroyed my diet

Haha, well just do what you can. As you know it's more important what you're doing most of the time, not just for one week that got a little messed up with everything you're handling right now.

Exactly! Haven't hit the gym all week and consumed more alcohol and starchy foods than Id like to. Ran out of EpiBURN today and also AP...shame on my for not keeping that stash up!

There she is! :)

The solution is simple - get more! Do you feel like the excess consumption and lack of training set you back much in your efforts to drop fat? Hopefully it only slowed/stopped your progress but without going in the opposite direction. In any case get right back to it! You've made huge progress thus far since I've started seeing you around the boards, and I have no doubt that you can keep it going. :)

No, I don't think it set me back too much Cassie. In fact, I think the excess calories may be a jump start once I go back to my normal diet. Today is leg day and I can't wait to hit it!

Cassie,

Question/advice time! I've been trying to lean out for quite sometime. I figured I'd change it up a bit and try to put on some lean muscle this winter. A friend of mine is a big advocate for lean bulking and I love the idea of putting on muscle with as little fat as possible. Do YOU bulk at all off season and if so, what foods are the best to go towards. I'm going to recalculate my calories and macros tonight based off his system and get a good idea where I need to be. Also, what USPLabs products are great for bulking....besides Prime *cries*

Yes, I do. It's much simpler than it seems. I eat the same foods essentially, with adjustment to macronutrients. I think that many people misunderstand the term "lean bulking" and honestly I'd rather throw the term out entirely. Bulking is bulking, as far as I see it. Going through cycles of bulking and cutting, as you probably know, is much more effective than trying to do it all at once. In the offseason I typically fluctuate in a range of about 15 lb. and I won't get into precontest. That's just me of course, each person is different in regards to what is ideal and what they are comfortable with. What USPlabs products are good for bulking. All of them, basically! Just don't bother with thermogenics like EpiBURN, although I'm guilty of using a capsule every once in a while on early mornings...

Cassie since you are my go to with all things USPLabs, can we as females take daa 3k? I imagine we can as the profile on bb.com says males and females. I found it for $8.88 in case im not a winner over at bb, I was going to grab a few bottles along with another prime (I found the magical bottle!)

You should be fine.. D aspartic acid is in a few pre workouts as well.. I knew a few females here who had that and prime as a part of their stack..

Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks Hulk!

Well bulking is put on hold for now! I'm going on vacation to the Caribbean in December and want to have as much of a beach body as possible. The next 7 weeks are being dedicated to a cut. History has proven I am terrible at this and have a hard time losing weight at the speed I want. My goal is 1 lb a week for the next 7 weeks, I have prime on the way, grabbing some daa 3k to stack with it, and grabbed more EPIburn. Everything starts tomorrow morning. My splits will be the same, but I'm tossing in 45-60 min of stair master 5 days a week! Time to get it!

Not sure why it says that, but I wouldn't recommend it. You don't have testes and in the case that the ovaries are stimulated well, you have plenty of aromatase to handle that. In females if anything it would increase estrogen, not testosterone. If that's your goal then go for it haha.
