Sean's Powerlifting Journey

I still don't know wtf a podcast is

Google says:

A podcast is a digital medium consisting of an episodic series of audio, video, radio, PDF, or ePub files subscribed to and downloaded through web syndication or streamed online to a computer or mobile device.

Here's a link to the strong360 podcasts. It's always CWS and Brandon Lilly and a guest or two. If you're interested.

My favorite was the one with Blaine Sumner. Freaking hilarious. They are all pretty good, though.

I'm reading the Rennaisance Diet from Israetel. Aside from having to do some math to figure out how many calories and macros to eat each day, it's just a "normal" diet, but balancing/cycling calories.

You like it? I almost bought it but I am trying to save money and have been avoiding buying ebooks for awhile (I swear it was like an addiction at one point haha).

I do. It's nothing fancy. He breaks things down fairly simply. I'm only halfway through though and have just covered macros and part of the total cal section. Timing is after that. I tried postin some screenshots but AM is acting up.

Ok cool. I've watched/read a lot of their stuff and just watched an hour interview about their concepts yesterday. I feel I have a good handle on my nutrition and kind of follow along to a similar extent, so couldn't justify buying it yet.

The phases of how they do things was what probably interested me most (the length of each "phase" I guess) and specific macro ideas (just to see how close they fit with my current views).

Interesting on the phases aspect. I like how he breaks down levels of importance as well in the one video I watched recently.

Do you have a strong360 membership?

Ya. :o

Mainly for the videos of the seminars. The monthly e-magazine thing is full of some good stuff occasionally as well. I got in on the initial sign up so it was pretty cheap and figured why not (not signed up for too many other things like that).

That's why I want it, videos of the seminars. Looks like some worthwhile stuff

December 13th. Non-sanctioned push/pull at my gym possibly. Talking with the owner about putting one on. I'll reclaim my deadlift.

Wade, if you're off, you should come.

Nice blood flow workout, man. What are you ranked, Sean? I remember you stating that you're natty. That squat has to put you at the top in that category

Thanks brother man.

I'm looking at #30/29/or 28 for nation rankings I think once it's updated. There's no natty list so there's Chris Duffin and Dan Green in the list lol. It's just current Top 50 lists and All-time top 20 lists. The only segregation between drug tested/untested is for world record.

Have RPS records but that's just RPS.

For 220: Duffin with 881. Drug tested is Casey Williams with 700. Can't be superstar status with a crap total lol I edited my last post to clarify the difference for ya too

Don't be so modest. You have an excellent total. Incredible that you're on a list with with names like that. The natty title is yours soon I'm sure in the squat

If it is, it'd be squat only.

If herderdude breaks 617, he'll be in top 50 as well...

617 for now Lol. That number has been growing like mad. I'd love to be working with 620 in eight weeks, but we'll have to see. Those bench and deadlift numbers, though...

617 for a ****ing 8 way tie for 46. I remember 600 putting me at 30 something a year ago. People need to stop competing so you and me can work our way up. One step forwards, then 20 people come in right behind you and squat one pound more lol

And the bench and deadlift numbers are ****ing ridiculous. Might as well go 198 or 242 lol

Lol imagine sports like swimming or track. You have literally thousands of people all within the same second in some of the shorter races.

It's nuts. One 198er at my gym had a 15 something total and was top 30's. Next year was 16 something total and barely cracked top 40. This was a few years ago but people just are so strong.
