Here's to my first log

I see boobies! :)
Hahaha no....that's just a bra and a heart monitor up there!! Boobs left! Lol

Heavy ass parallel bar dips bench close grips and skull crushers should be your main movers for mass. Don't even play with cables and ropes.

Thank you SB and Thomas...I agree that that should be the main movers but I agree with what Thomas said- they have their place! From what I gather- Meadows likes to use them to warm things up and get the blood flowing good especially before skull crushers and such.

You made me scroll back up, just sayin...
You weren't alone man....Such a cruel play

Haha naughty boys!

I forgot to mention at lunch today doing my tabata- I was testing out some box jumps and completely landed on my right ankle wrong...it feels fine walking but the slightest tilt sent a shooting pain. Ugh so dumb! Lol I'm already taking NSAIDs for my back though so I'm sure it will be fine! :) Didn't prep enough food on Sunday so I grabbed these goodies on the way home and threw them all into a pan for 2 of tomorrow's meals. Just add rice and sriracha and I'm good to go!!

I don't disagree with the Do's, but I wouldn't suggest staying away from ropes and cables. I've made some great progress with them, and Meadows has a pretty solid resume with his use of them. I see no reason to limit the motions of any muscle when looking for size.

I'll rebut my statement with not using at all. Like kat said warm ups, and burnouts at the end of the day. The biggest thing I've done to grow my tri's, which I feel are the best part about my arms, is powerlifting work. Heavy ass benches, heavy ass cgbp, and then hypertrophy type work. Real similar to cube programming but with the occasional ss or gs at the end of the day.

Jennie-o turkey is the best brand my wife found. Oscar Meyer turkey bacon is another great brand.

Agree with this, my tris have made the most improvement this past year doing heavy bench, ohp, dips and cg bench along with some finishers

Slept in until 6:20 this morning! It was wonderful!!! Came in for cardio after work but I wasn't feeling the cardio --my fix for that was to lift for a little while. I chose a little chest and shoulders so tomorrow's leg day shouldn't be effected. Pretty happy with the weights I moved. I can tell strength has increased since starting meadows and eating more over the past few months! I can't imagine going back to 11-1200 calories!! Such torture! Lol

Fantastic workout.. Meadows works, but those added cals definitely will build muscle and give you that added strength. Great job!

Nice rest day, Kat!

Beyond great. Way to hit out those PR's!

Lifting > Cardio

Strength is definitely increasing! Look at those PR's! You killed it today Kat. Studette style!

Some remarkable PRs for your body weight! Impressive to say the least!

Thank you all very much!! I was excited! I had to keep telling myself I had them- not having any one with me there to spot just in case! Lol It seems like not too long ago I was struggling with less than the 45 bar!!

I agree Thomas, lifting is way more fun than cardio! Lol

Just grilled burgers by myself for the first time...I've done chicken but not burgers...look at my pretty grill marks! Lol Nom nom

Looks awesome.

What's the rest of the family going to eat?

...love burgers.. and those look nice and juicy.

Me too! Thank you! They were! I didn't cook them all the way! Lol I'm a med- to med-rare girl depending on the quality of meat. Rare for steaks!!

Happy Friday everyone! Not sure if it was taking the Epic pwo last night or what but I couldn't sleep. Laid there with my eyes closed trying to convince my mind to sleep. Finally fell asleep probably 2 ish. Energy levels are a little low but I trained alone today so I just took a little more time between sets. Had a really good workout too! The liquid and the powder Epic from LG Sciences are both great. The powder is a sneaker energy that just kinda makes you want to keep going without you realizing it. The liquid has more of a stim feel! I like them both!

I was having some bad cramps/tightness in my right hip but I think I may have been compensating for my ankle that I strained a bit on Wednesday! Supper setting the split squats and stretches with the squats helped work it out though!

Lying leg curls
50x10
50x10
55x10
60x10
60x10
55x10, 50x8, 40x25 (1/2's)- drop set OUCH!!!!

155x6/5
165x6-PR/5
165x6-PR/5
155x6/5
155x6/5

Hack squats SS w/ calf raises
105x10/20
105x10/20
Both of those were supposed to be light - nice deep stretch and power up
Drop set--
240x10, 195x8, 105x20--DYING!!! Lol

Finished calves
240x15
285x12x3

BB Split squat (30 secs rest)

55x15
85x10
125x8x3

Crawled up stairs for cardio
30 mins LISS

There were some guys there today prob 350lbs or more - power lifters I'm guessing they were deadlifting 500lbs. We really don't have any pl's that I've seen so it was cool to see them! Even though form wasn't too good. Lol

You are just a PR machine lately. That is some serious squatting for you! That is impressive!

Nice work today great pr's
They guy I train with are always taking shots of epic they love the stuff never tried it thou

Where's the vids lol I need to start posting some up too

Thank you all! I'm pretty stoked! I have been stuck on my squats for a looooooonnnnnngggg time!!! They felt really good today form wise....hmmm vids....I um....lost them...yeah that's it! Lol

lol that's not very impressive at that BW.

Hahah no I agree! I wasn't impressed at all! Just like to see people moving weight! Most of the guys at my gym, that aren't "bro's," don't squat or lift much more than me. It's kinda sad!

Thanks guys! I'm drained!! Actually laid down for about an hour.

Your squats numbers are nothing short of impressive, Kat. Just, wow.

Great leg sesh Kat! Fridays? Why not do legs twice a week? I promise they will hurt less.. ;)

Thank you! Haha I'd be open to try it again when I finish the meadows routine. I have found a new routine yet! Any suggestions on one with legs twice?

Thank you Thomas!!

Aside from great gains n less pain? Lol...
Here's my weekly lay out:

Sunday- quads hams glutes
Monday-shoulders arms
Tuesday-back chest
Wednesday- off
Thursday- quads hams glutes
Friday- shoulders back
Saturday- off

Oh, high volume for me...
Then once every 3 weeks I throw in a heavy sesh week with low reps just to c how much stronger I got...

Before this set up I trained 6 days a week...
Well actually 7 days with the 8th day being off, lol...
Yes MY week had 8 days, ha ha...

From fat to jacked in less then 3 years...

Just for fun give it a shot sometimes....
:)

Mine too!!! I think I just kept repeating "Wow, really?!" For at least 30 mins. Lol

Rest day...I slept a from 10:30-9 this morning!! It was crazy but good! Legs aren't sore??!! I can feel they're tight and tired but that's all! I'm thinking maybe the GHenerate is helping with recovery...soreness hasn't been as bad at all this week....considering to start adding in calories this week to start adding on more muscle.....fighting the mental block plus my stomach has a hard time with 1800 calories already! Lol

I won't even comment on caloric intake. I'm trying to figure out where to put the additional cals I need and where I plug in yet another meal!

That's great your legs feel good after that killer workout yesterday!

I feel like I need to eat less or something, my stomach is pissing me off.
