you have spit on the holy grail, lol.....

Truth hurt bro.

I have kept a log of all my lifts for the last six months. Would have been really happy with small PR increase in 8 weeks. But my advances were not too differernt than being on creatine or even nothing

What I don't understand is why is everyone getting increased soreness and tendon issues when supposedly it's an anti-inflammatory?.

Interesting point. I've nearly finished a bottle of EP1C and have noticed the opposite. Increased endurance, making steady progress past some plateaus but I haven't been sore in weeks. I do olympic lifting and crossfit which usually has me sore as hell every week with same staple supps and diet in place...

Most of the posts I've read about increased DOMS has come from Follidrone users

Anyone else noticed decreased DOMS too??

Myostatin in tendon maintenance and repair.Eliasson P1, Andersson T, Kulas J, Seemann P, Aspenberg P.Author

Myostatin, a negative regulator of muscle growth, has recently been found to be expressed in tendons. Myostatin-deficient mice have weak and brittle tendons, which suggest that myostatin could be important for tendon maintenance. Follistatin expression in the callus tissue after tendon transection is influenced by loading. We found that follistatin antagonises myostatin, but not GDF-5 or OP-1 in vitro. To study if myostatin might play a physiological role in soft tissue, we transected 64 rat Achilles tendons and studied the gene expression for myostatin and its receptors at four different time-points during healing. Intact tendons were also studied. All samples were studied with or without mechanical loading. Unloading was achieved with botulinum toxin injections in the calf muscles. The expression of the myostatin gene was more than 40 times higher in intact tendons than in the callus tissue during tendon healing. The expression of myostatin was also influenced by loading status in both intact and healing tendons. Thereafter, we measured the mechanical properties of healing tendons after local myostatin administration. This treatment increased the volume and the contraction of the callus after 8 days, but did not improve its strength. Our results indicate that myostatin plays a positive role in tendon maintenance and that exogenous protein administration stimulates proliferation and growth of early repair tissue. However, no effect on further development towards

Patrick Arnold speculated that inhibiting myostatin would do nothing in terms of muscle growth in humans

IIRC, he also mentioned that he supposes that if you injected the stuff, it could be good for fat loss :P Didn't he say someone was trying that already?

Im so glad I made this thread because it really kinda puts things in perspective, Before I thought 90% of people were getting great results. We should do more of these in my opinion.

those poll results in reality are virtually meaningless

dint I say that already like 10yrs ago? (seems like this thread has been going on that long at least..)

I went to a political rally last night, and a poll broke out!

who cares about silly polls, good grief

Yeah, I think I agreed with you too..not sure though. Too many pages back.

I would assume lots of votes from people who haven't even tried it?

Everyday I wake up, look at outside, take a sip of my nice butter placebro coffee, and wonder why oh why...people get so butthurt over the results of a supplement on someone they don't even know.

Would you hurry up and stop making gains on things I don't like?

isn't anecdotal feedback one of the main purposes of a bb forum?

Well yes, but forum perception is HEAVILY skewed by shills, sockpuppet accounts, people ****ting on anything specific brands put out, people worshipping anything specific brands put out.

It's no coincidence that the most vocal non-rep advocates for any given brand are usually people who coincidentally win lots of 'random' free product from that brand, or are just openly given product for their positive feedback.

I think you give too much credit to many people. I think you are taking a very small minority and applying to the vast majority. IP's don't lie. I can generally see through and spot the very few that you talk about....

lol...that sounds just like the politics of my old workplace. life is full of B.S starting in preschool, reading between the lines is a prerequisite.

this is not to say that there is not the same kind of B.S that surrounds studies also.

Oh absolutely, people carrying out studies have every obligation to accurately report data, they do not however have any obligation to not manipulate data to present the exact POV they are interested in via either funding source or their own personal initiatives.

I think you are talking about Follistatin and not Epi

Im convinced now that large dose of epi causes joint pain. Epi should be taken in lower dose. Im not sure any muscle gains will be expected in a short period of time either.

I was a victim of hype and anecdotal reports

No, it was the Follidrone thread on that board in the Q&A with PA. It was a spicy thread, quite fun to read ;)

Aren't we not suppose to link to things/stores/sources which are not sponsors on here? I thought that was the rules.

You can link to discussions...as long as its not a promo.
