Article: Wake Up to the Benefits of Melatonin

I was told you need to cycle off of melatonin but I love the stuff when I need a good night sleep... But nowhere near 10 mg/kg. Max I have ever used is 3mg a night.
 
I take 10 mg / night because of a neurological health condition. I think the benefits far out weight the risks, at least for a neuro patient like me.

I definitely do. There has been multiple human studies that show that melatonin when properly dosed increases GH at around 200%, compared to the control groups.

Is that much of an increase in GH enough to do anything that would be a big boost in recovery or body comp? I think melatonin pre workout would just make me sluggish.

Lol holy ****. You have my whole gym cracking up. Yea melatonin increases igf. WHEN YOU ARE SLEEPING! Now you have my permission to stop giving possibly the worst advice I have ever heard on a muscle fitness forum. You compare to the kid who said he got huge from taking prednisone (aka a steroid) which is just an anti-inflammatory that can effect your adrenal glands but in no is an anabolic steroid. I want to shake you for taking a sleep aid for pre-workout

I know you didnt look anything up when you made your comment. Because he is right.. the studies on Melatonin pre-workout are out there and they show a big boost in GH production vs Placebo taking Melatonin pre-workout.

i know if sounds strange to take a SLEEP AID pre-workout... but you can take a little time to google it before you insult.
 
well you said the whole gym was laughing ... so were they laughing at the research saying its bogus... or just laughing because bro-science dictates that Melatonin cant possibly be a pre-workout aid?

That increase in GH isnt enough to make any difference in body composition
