I like the hip circle for things like monster walks, bench pressing (yeah, that's right) and conventional deadlifts and sumo deadlifts. You don't have to get your knees out extremely wide with the hip circle like you do with the bands, and on sump pulls you can wear them closer to your hip so as not to interfere with the actual lift.


Great ideas Herder. I was gonna use it for warmups and monster walks but it sounds like it might be useful for other purposes as well
 
Just wear it around your knees or upper thighs while benching to teach knees out on bench. A lot of people don't think to get as wide a base as possible with the lower body and externally rotate at the hips while benching. I don't know how well you'll be able to utilize it with your positioning, but you can always give it a shot wearing it up really high on your thighs and let me know what you think.

Very interesting. I was hugging the bench with my knees and just recently went knees out so I may try this.

Always nice to pick up some knowledge on these forums! Never really thought about externally rotating the hips on bench press. Interesting piece of knowledge there herder.
 
Deadlift Deload

Finger is still banged up so I mimicked stance and hip positioning off a box with the SSB.

Trying to live and breath under the bar everything Chris Duffin is teaching. My biggest difference was activating my glutes. There were zero band distractions and/or stretches to get my hips opened and working. I also felt my left glute med more activated. Usually when doing banded side steps, I don't feel it fire.

I hit a few singles without the box when stripping plates just to assess te hips. Felt perfect.

I love them. They're like knee sleeves for your butt.....a butt sleeve. I cut 4" off them though. Started feeling restricted. a tad when opening the knees.
I need a pair...

On duty and don't feel like eating here. Sandwich was from nasty (but amazing) sub shop around a marina we pulled into. The tacos were from some hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. 8 steak tacos!

That's worse than my DE work 315x3 on the 30sec a while back... How many did you manage?
 
On the 405? Just 5 singles. Every third week is a 5x1 deload. Just walked out, squat, rack, breath, walk out, squat, rack, breathe, ect
