Sean's Powerlifting Journey

In for epicness in October. Can't wait. I've never been to Massachusetts either so I can mark that state off my list (been to most states).

So Sean let me pick your brain for a sec, what would u say in terms of both supplementation and workout what do u feel has been most beneficial? I was just curious I'm sure a few others may be interested in what u have to say as well

Welllllll I have a staggered stack I'm running. Did Myosynergy for a month, then added OG Anabeta for the remainder of the MS. Then I added Erase Pro to finish up the Anabeta, now I'm taking Amentomax with the rest of the EP. I'll run all the same for the next meet, except with Anabeta Elite instead. Just got some more Nerve Restore as well to see if it helps my left glute again.

As for ergogenic aids, I've always taken creatine, now it's Green Magnitude for obvious reasons, but it has the inclusion of Betaine Anhydrous, which is big plus. Even bulk betaine anhydrous would be a good staple. I like Citrulline as well. COP is good stuff.

Taking Alphamine now so I use that as a prewo. I think it's helped blunt some fat gain.

I like GDA's. I have a fück load of Slintensity now. Outside of that, I like SSv2. Recompadrol tears my gut up.

Thanks for the input I'm trying to get away from all the supplement bs stuff I don't need or doent work I feel I have fallen into that trap obviously somethings I'm taking are helping but at this point it's hard to tell what u know, just wanted to see what works for u since it's real world experience and not a big name trying to sell a brand

Sean, you need to give Prime a shot. It is hit or miss with a lot of people but my son and I really get a strength boost. Downside is that you need to dose it on the high side and it is expensive.

Got a free tub of green mag from CL in a promo - loved it. Like you said, the betaine is nice, & the flavoring is a lot of fun mixed w/ different protein powders. Cinnamon Roll dymatize was like drinking cold apple pie postWO.

Anybody play with X-gels in here? All they did for me was make me stupidly sore (exactly as promised, after all), but never noticed even minute differences in strength or endurance. I can tell when I start taking creatine again within a couple wks if I stopped taking it for a while, but xgels didn't do anything over 10wks. Except make me sore. They weren't placebo certainly, just not useful. Pumps seemed to improve a little though, to be fair.

I agree, I always liked Prime. Although, using it effectively ain't cheap.

I'm also a big fan of DCP, Anabeta, Alphamine (preworkout mostly), MyoSynergy, Green Magnitude (creatine + betaine!?), Endosurge Turbo, Amino's (purple wraath, amino IV, Modern BCAA, and I liked the BCAA +SAA too), Nitrates (Dpol, Condense, Max Pump), Endosurge, Amentoflavone, Uncut (solid preworkout, one of the best out there IMO), and there are more that I'm forgetting lol.

I did a run of prime at the beginning of the year didn't notice much if anything but I was dosing it per the bottle and I have heard it needs to be way higher

Right now I'm at the point where I think I've taken everything for so long that it's not doing jack so I'm going back to basics for a bit as soon as something is gone that's not that important from my stack I'm not going to replace it

I did 50 days of xGels those were great.. joints got a bit sore the last week or two of em. right now I'm finishing up natadrol, another pretty good size/strength boost there. erase/anabeta stocked for use later this year! besides those supp wise i just use whatever preworkout (C4 right now) and sometimes protein powder and creatine (haven't used in a while got 2 kgs stocked though.) wouldnt mind some more purple wraath though, pretty good intra this will be my first workout off of it.

Oh sh!t, Idk how I forgot the joint pain - my knees were SCREAMING on X-gels. Soon as I dropped em they returned to their regular hit-or-miss nature.

ArA may not be very friendly considering the impingement and nagging injury history that you have. There's already enough inflammation without additional pro inflammatories.

Ohhh I have zero plans for ArA. I used it for 6 days last summer when I wasn't even "broken" and it still made things ache. Not even considering that stuff.

This is why I never became interested. It is definitely a young mans supplement.

Exactly. It's for physique/bb competitors or gymrats training as such using light-weight, high-volume training. As rough as joint pains were, I don't see it benefiting any powerlifters/strength athletes at all. You can't train if you can't recover.

I was finishing up a run of it years ago during a fight training camp and I couldn't figure out why everything was hurting. My hands were aching from just mitt work and moderate sparring. Luckily, I was about done with it, but it still took an additional week or so before it subsided.

Yeah ArA is something to try though, as long as you don't have nagging injuries. Definite strength increases off of it.

Thanks, Robbie-o

I like my Saturday circuit thing. Breaks up the monotony. Took a page from Nomz's book with the PP/RPP, just not as many sets. Shoulders are still doing pretty good. Irritation here n there, but still good.

Sleep deprived and underfed...and this was the best feeling pull I've had in a while. Weird thing...my hips feel even better ever since the squat last week.

lol the weights don't count with chain tho! Impossible to determine top end weight with links on the floor still. I'm happy it just made me hang on tight and get my hips through.

Yeah buddy! Awesome stuff. Your setup looks tight and dialed in.

CHAINS, moe yeah....! He's a comin' to da dark side...!!!!!

It is kinda funny, but when I have felt like crap (but wanted to train) I have seemed to hit some of my best work.

Strong stuff as usual doc

Thank you gents.

Respect big guy! You are a squatting machine.

Sounds like you ought to get dude who went 225x33 on the platform! That's an insane set.

Some people are just born to squat I guess :)

Just kidding Sean bc that would down play all of the extremely hard work you have done to get here.

Btw used that suit for the first time tonight. W/ the slippers, I was seriously in it in 2 min, no exaggeration. Couldn't believe it. There's def a technique to squatting in that thing tho; I need more practice hitting the groove. Now I'm bruised all over, but worth the fun.
