Nitro Veins with MST's Massive Nitric Oxide Stack

Glad to see you back at it dude! I start back up tomorrow morning! This has been one helluva stack!

Good to hear - I agree. Both pump & endurance are very noticeable, from very early on. I was kinda surprised, especially the endurance. Only ever seen that from certain anabolics.

Day 20

200.6 this morning.

Tonight was a repeat of monday: practiced squat (3x8 @ 155), bench (3x8 @ 95), & dead (3x8 @ 185) to hammer form one last time. Cut off food/water at 9pm tonight. Nothing til after weigh-ins/gear inspection tomorrow around 5 at the gym. Gonna chew that gum & try to remind myself hunger is strength entering my body to crush iron. Then it's off to kill some food. Then check into the hotel, then a late 2nd dinner :)

Lifting is at 9am Sat, so will prob show at the gym at 8am, so will prob eat at the hotel for bfast. I don't really wanna be puking up biscuits n gravy up on the platform.

Stay tuned for pics & vids - hopefully with a meet PR on deadlift ;)

Wow. Awesome time in Kansas City this past weekend. Drove out there Friday mid day, made weight about 5pm after not eating or drinking since 9pm thursday. I had to chew a LOT of gum; my jaw was sore saturday lol. Weighed in at a dehydrated 193.4!!!

After getting my gear checked out, hit a taco bell for a big chicken burrito as we left the gym on the way to the hotel. Smashed that & about 32oz water in maybe 5 min. We checked in & headed down to the plaza district for some awesome KC bbq; drank about 24 oz water omw there, another 24oz w/ my huge dinner, finished off the gf's food too, 16oz of iced tea after w/ 16oz water at a coffee shop, was still thirsty about 10 min later. Had some epic cupcakes. Smashing bananas, gatorade & such right up to bed time. Bet I was every bit of 203 on the platform saturday :yup:

Ran the same cocktail all day at the meet I used last time, to great effect - gatorade, bcaas, taurine, Flashover before every warmup round. Some bananas, cliff bars, almonds, & isolate spread thru the day (despite DMAA/adrenaline killing my appetite) to help sustain me, & tons of water.

Wasn't nearly as strong as the last meet, but I've cut 10lbs & lifting without any PEDs, currently, so I'm pretty happy with my performance.

Men's 20-23, 198lb Weightclass, Modern Raw (Belt, Wrist Wraps, Non-Supportive Knee Sleeves)

Squat 379, 407, & 424 (Re-set USPA IL State Record)

Bench 248, 270X NO LIFT (butt popped up), 270X NO LIFT (failed)

Deadlift 457, 501, 534 (Competition PR)

1st in my class....which amazingly was only me! So while cutting for it turned out to be useless as far as being more competitive, it earned me the USPA state record for IL....which turns out to be a remarkably low 402.4lbs. Or at least, it was :biglaugh:

That's a win in my book buddy! You had a competition PR and you received an Illinois state record for your class, you killed it! If you say the record isn't much well then I guess your the best out of anybody that's ever tried in your weight class in the sate of Illinois for the length of the competition. Great job:)

And, for your viewing pleasure:

Squat, 424lbs

Bench, 248lbs

270lbs (lifted butt, fail)

Deadlift, 534lbs

I remember pulling 535 in the gym a little over a year ago in the gym, at the end of a substantial blast of Methylstenbolone & other lil goodies. Felt really good to pull it clean in a meet, off any anabolics, at decidedly less bodyfat & even weight. Looking at the lift, you can see there's certainly more there, too. My gf thankfully didn't film the roar I let out after I saw the 3 white lights (good lift) go off afterward lol

Thanks man! I guess it seems funny to me because it's 39lbs under my personal best (which was last meet), but weight-class wise it was a lot more relevant.

Btw the gal in the purple that spot me is from STL as well; she pulled 387 conventional at 165, & barely missed locking out 402!

So many strong mf'ers at this meet; it was almost entirely modern & classic raw (same as modern + knee wraps). There was a single multi-ply guy, bench-only, & he put up 700lbs. Watched a 275lb class guy squat 716 in wraps, & a 181lb guy squat 617 in wraps & pull 617. Crazy stuff. Multiple USPA American records were set at this meet, & nobody got hurt :)

Great pull on the deadlift Hyde! Congrats on the state record as well! Means yousa bad mofo!

Both the squat and the dead looked easy. I'd wager you had more for the squat. I didn't see much lift on the bench must have been subtle. Looked good to me anyway.

Day 25

Thanks SB; I think you're right. Prob had another 10lbs on each it looks like. As for bench, they don't miss a thing with 3 judges eyeing you. As soon as I felt my butt pop up I knew it was a wash.

Yesterday met up with a buddy to hit some chest (it was Monday, after all). Gf called me 15 min in saying she had a flat tire, so I had to leave to go take care of that before finishing the 5x5 I planned (nevermind the rest of the workout). Afterward back at home doubled a Light band & hooked it under my rear delts for 10x10 on band-resisted pushups to try to finish what I'd started. Chest was seriously hard as a boulder after these; pumped like crazy. My gf was like, "Holy pecs, Batman!". Trying to make lemonade out of lemons here :)

Bench 135x5, 185x5, 205x5x4 sets
Light Band-Resisted Pushups 10x10

Was 96* heat index all day today at work; the heat's really been messing with my eating & energy yesterday & today. Resting tonight. Hopefully squatting tomorrow. Thinking 5x5 again.

With heat like that POUND water bro. That helped keep the hunger up pretty well for me in SC and Afghanistan summer heat. Not a bad lift dude. Keep working with a partner on chest with 5x5... Get to where you can get 3 sets of 5 but where you need a few force reps on the last 2 sets.

Awesome advice; if anything now that I think about it my hydration was probably same as usual last 2 days - which is totally inadequate obv when you're sweating more.

As for bench, I think my power form has been improving a lot lately, but something has been seriously lacking in my bench - thinking it's time I get back to basics with a traditional 5x5 approach (where every week you do all 5x5, you add 5lbs the following week, like you're saying) for a month or so before re-assessing.

Honestly man when we lifted I was hoping to see a glaring form issue on your bench to provide assistance and advisement. Still looked like triceps and delts at the failure point. The bottom of the rom moved decently.

Just was trolling on fb... I guess Brandon Lilly is a member of swoldiers. He posted about making a comeback after his knee injuries. Dudes sitting at a massive 295 right now... Looks good too. Lean and huge.

Yea I follow Brandon on IG, think meadows put his diet together.

That Brandon dude is ****ing huge.

I can't believe I've never heard of him. Wow I must've been living under a rock.

What you think I was just making up "Brandon Lilly's Cube Method" by myself? lol he's pretty cool; very amusing guy to listen to/read. It's funny to see how his mindset on diet/training has progressed, as has his physique & numbers. There came a point when he was training in plyed gear & following the Westside Conjugate where he realized he kind of hated lifting anymore. He wasn't gaining muscle to build his strength so much as just adding fat for more leverage, & his raw numbers were actually falling because he used so little straight weight. Went back to basics, cleaned up his diet at some point & became a visible 6-pack-having 320lbs benching 587 raw & all kinds of cool stuff.

Favorite Lilly quote, responding to someone about the importance of consistency, hard work, sleep & nutrition - "Not everything works for everyone, but if you try 10 different strength systems that have gotten people results, & you still haven't gotten results, the problem's not the training methods - IT'S YOU, MOTHERF#CK3R!"

There's a vid of him pulling 500lbs like 3 months after having his knees ripped apart lol. Dude's determined.

Day 26

Ty superbeast668 for the water suggestion - lethargy wasn't as bad today, & appetite was through the roof. Just needed to keep my stomach stretched out I guess.

Man this MST stack is seriously helping my endurance & pump. Tonight kept the weights lighter (sort of a deload week atm) & volume/set higher than usual some, & the pump was evident. Walkin' out with that glute pump ;)

Squat 135x5, 225x5, 315x5x5 (beltless)
Goodmornings (shoulder-wide stance) 60x15, 110x15x3 sets
Cable Reverse Hypers (like a Kettlebell swing) 72.5x15, 95x12, 14
Seated Leg Curl 30x50 *short rest* 40x25

Sad to say it, but realized it's been a long time since I'ved done remotely this much volume on backsquat, so it was tough at first to adjust. But they say to do what you hate if you wanna get stronger, so figured 5x5 was a good start.

315 belt less, I wish I could do that, nice lifts buddy! I think I might need to buy a belt:)

Shoot, it felt light after this past weekend.

Check out Titan Support Systems if you want the best. Longhorn 4in 10mm Leverbelt for any/all exercises. 13mm is for huge squatting only. Liftinglarge.com is the cheapest dealer I've found, & you can order custom colors - they say they stock red, blue, & black for most colors, but the reality is you're gonna wait 2-3 months regardless. So get the color you like. Mine's maroon, & I love it.

On the budget end of things, they sell an Economy Leverbelt, & Elitefts.com has one too for like 2 bux more. The economy ones should ship really fast, like you'll have them in less than a week. But whatever you do, get a lever. A belt needs to be tight to work, & time is money, & prongs take a lot of time to do/undo over a workout. Leverbelts are a quick flick & it's loose.

I scooped the toro. It's the inbetween model in price. It comes in As lever or standard. Pretty sweet piece of equipment

Tell him to get the lever! Everybody THINKS they want prongs, cuz they look badass & save $15. But then they realize after they have it that a belt is a tool, not a fashion statement, & they're a pain to get in & out of without a lever.

Day 27

Grrrrreat pump tonight, did some dynamic bench, triceps, & abs tonight. Wanted to do some biceps (just been doing a Dorian-style warmup then 3 sets of 8-12 reps to failure in 10 min or so when I lift biceps) but left elbow was screaming at me by the end of bench, out of nowhere. No idea where it came from, but by the time I'd left the gym the pain had dissipated, so w/e. Tri's felt really full after this workout; snapped a post-WO shot I'll toss up tomorrow night.

Pause Bench w/ Light Band (+50lb tension at top?) 45x5, 95x5, 135x3x9 sets (barweight only listed)
JM Press 95x6, cluster set of (30 sec rests between following) 115x4, 4, 95x4, 4
Vogehlpohl Rows 62.5x15, 77.5x10, 10, 12
Tri Pressdown (solid handle) 37.5x20x5 sets
Supported Hanging Legraises 17, 13, 10, 10

I've gotten used to the prongs :-D. The lever is a very nice feature esp to pop it on and off between sets when you're trying to catch your breath.

I am going to look through and order a lever belt over the weekend I think. I am sure there is shipping to Canada available.

A sturdy 4in, 10mm all the way around leverbelt will be one of the best lifting-related investments you'll ever make.

Day 28

Off-day tonight.

Hopefully gonna play with some strongman drills w/ couple buddies tomorrow morning. Might get some upper back & bicep work in too if time permits to finish em off.

Day 30

Yesterday met up w/ couple buddies for some free work at this old gym. Got the strongman equipment out, but my hams were still destroyed from wednesday & they immediately screamed no when I tried to use them (sumo-pulled this huge old Circus dbell while cold just messing around & my left ham FREAKED out, leg went almost numb & couldn't almost stand for about 10 min) so I was pretty limited to just yolk-carrys & sledpulls. Literally couldn't bend down to even pick up a hex bar for farmers walks, so I just did some free work while I hollered at my buddies to run faster. The were also flipping a big tire & doing farmers walks & keg carries. It's easy to shout at people when you're not doing any work :)

Neutral-grip Pullups BW x10x4 sets
Yolk Carries 270, 270, 270, 360, 360 for about half the parking lot, no idea how far. Far enough lol
Sled Drag w/ 150-200lb barrel on iron sled x2, +225lb buddy x1, -buddy & +90lbs x2
Bicep work, building up to 2 max effort 8 rep sets
CG Pulldowns Facing Away from Tower 110x20, 15

It was hot/sweaty as well training out in the sun & humidity, but a good time.

Off-day tonight. Gotta help get my dad's new stereo set up.

Yep - so there you go, about 50 yards all. Sweating balls.

Dig this mornings breakfast - love when I have time to cook a proper bfast. Bfast is my fav meal of the day.

Dang beast! That meal have me wood :)

Weird?

Day 31

Struggled for strength tonight after I finished bench....like it decided to go home early & I didn't get the memo lol. Pretty good workout though, honestly - got it done, enjoyed my music & the work & the pump. Just trying to build my base right now as best I can, one brick at a time.

Does this MST stack really boost your pump?

I'd sure like to think so :smileeek:
