breezy's training, supplementation, and food log

Pls explain this

Also breezy, I can see the difference (you holding water), but if you get dryer do you think you'll be too dry for physique??

YHCL can cause water retention and mask fat loss.

I doubt I'll be too dry, but I guess it could depend on the show. Most of the IFBB physique competitors at the NY Pro this weekend were very lean and dry.

Getem Breezy!

Well, all of my board shorts fit like spandex ...looks like I'm heading to the surf shop.

I ate a few pancakes on my high carb day yesterday and they helped me fill right out. Minimal water (for >500 gram carbs anyway)

Hi Breezy,

Great work so far pics look incredible.
And those carb ups are epic

Question re the YHCL, I'm about two weeks in and cycling with MP and erase pro.

A couple of times now I've started shaking and having whole body sweats...I've definitely been sweating a lot more when training but these have been while resting and feels like I'm having sugar crashes. I am in more of a recomping phase so I'm not in a shortage of nutrients by any means...any thoughts?

Nice. Nothing wrong with off season post-workout pancakes in a gaining phase. :)

Thanks Sam! Good to see you bud.

It sounds like a reaction to the yhcl to me. It's potent stuff and some people can't tolerate it at all. Luckily, I can use a large dose and not feel a thing. I'd start with about 2mg and slowly work your way up to the recommended .2mg/kg if you can. Are you using caps or bulk powder? If using powder you need to be very careful with the dosing, as it's easy to overdo it. A highly accurate scale works best, but you could also dissolve it in some distilled water. What I've done in the past is picked up a sterile "specimen cup" (like used for urine samples at the doctor) and mixed it with the water for pretty accurate dosing. It takes a good amount of time and shaking to fully dissolve, but it works. I use the NutraPlanet bulk power, which is approximately 200mg per 1/8 tsp. I mix the 200mg with 20ml or 40ml water, which makes the solution 10mg/ml or 5mg/ml respectively. An oral syringe can be used to accurately draw up the amount of yhcl that you are looking to use. It should remain stable in the distilled water for a while if kept in the fridge, away from light, and if it's not contaminated by anything when the cup is open.

Hey Breezy, I think you might have said this before... you take your entire dose at once right? not split?

Yeah, I use the full dose ~40mins before I begin LISS.

This was taken before my final training session this morning, after having no carbs (besides trace) since Sunday. I've started to slowly carb up and will continue to do so until the show. Round 1 of spray tanning is happening shortly.

Lol thanks man. Not wasting any time getting my weight back up while staying fairly lean during the offseason, combined with a slow and steady approach to a long prep, has allowed me to come in much bigger than at the New England Championships. I was 201lbs (depleted) this morning and was 211-212 during the first half of January.

Can we just call that the stank face pose? Every bodybuilder does it. :-)

Someone was having bathroom issues about 10 feet away. :)

A discussion (On bro science, and how throwing that label on systems that might not be scientifically valid, yet potentially extremely effective, is shortchanging them) just reminded me of this excerpt from A Grand Design (Stephen Hawking):

"A few years ago the city council of Monza, Italy, barred pet owners from keeping goldfish in curved bowls. The measure's sponsor explained the measure in part by saying that it is cruel to keep a fish in a bowl with curved sides because, gazing out, the fish would have a distorted view of reality. But how do we know we have the true, undistorted picture of reality?

The goldfish view is not the same as our own, but goldfish could still formulate scientific laws governing the motion of the objects they observe outside their bowl. For example, due to the distortion, a freely moving object would be observed by the goldfish to move along a curved path. Nevertheless, the goldfish could formulate laws from their distorted frame of reference that would always hold true. Their laws would be more complicated than the laws in our frame, but simplicity is a matter of taste."

The reason I find this so relevant much of the time- anybody observing "true" reality would say the goldfish is "wrong". The goldfish's view is distorted, incorrect. Yet the goldfish's view of the world answers nearly every question the goldfish has, yes?

How caught up are we often in pursuit of the "real truth", whether it be in science or elsewhere? How often do we discard the voice of experience because we believe that our "true" scientific knowledge trumps a worldview that may be distorted? How often do we gainsay and ignore our elders/ predecessors because we believe they don't "know" the truth like we do? Their model served them just fine... and who knows, their observations may be no less correct than our own.

....back to throwing pancakes.

That's a great exert.

Yeah man, they're great. Let me know what you think.

I was pumped to find these waiting for me when I got home yesterday.

Huge thanks to my boy, LiveToLift and nattydisaster! I'll be adding some to Cream of Rice and probably making ice cream later today, which will be my first taste of Select.

Sorry so late on responding here as I'm never on a computer so I rarely see these mentions. Glad we could get you hooked up brother! :)

Looking great breezy! Your doing the cutler classic right?

Yup. This show is gonna be massive. The entire Hancock Theatre is basically full and its only check-ins right now. Just met guys in my class who came from Cali and Vegas to compete. Cutler is already here as well. Should be solid competition and a packed house.

No problem brother. Thanks again!

Are you in the same class as David Andrew Lees?

Threw a curve ball and physique is going last. Now I need to try and maintain my current look for a couple hours without passing out.

Good luck buddy

Good luck today man.

Thanks guys. Probably won't even step on stage for at least an hour. Sucks for my planned timing, but nothing I can do about it. Just got filmed by NPC news while talking to Cutler though, which was pretty cool.

That's legit!

Hope it's going well Breezy!

Doesn't look like I'll be placing out of the 20+ in my height class (might be 30). They ran things a little weird due to the ridiculous amount of competitors, but I believe I was in the 2nd call out. I luckily ran into the head of the NPC (Steve Weinburner or something like that) outside and got to sit and talk with him for a good 15 minutes. He let me know that making 1st call out could've gone either way, but my waist was the issue. He said not to beat myself up over it because I looked great and can't do much about it (no side poses either). Other than that he thought my color could've been a little better. He told me that my build is much better suited for bodybuilding, which I definitely agree with. I'm eating some food and trying to hold back on liquid, so I still look decent for the night show regardless. Steve said he'll see if there's anything else he notices tonight, which I really appreciate. Either way, I came in very lean, dry, vascular, around 210lbs, and happy with my appearance. I'll have to sit down this weekend and figure out if I still want to compete at Team U or just start getting massive for the bodybuilding stage.

How long till team U ?

If it's only a few more Weeks I'd go for it man.
You've already done all the hard work, might as well get a little more stage experience while you're peeled, then have a Long successful off season

I really think your body type and how it looks will do work in bodybuilding. Especially if you train to get bigger which we know you can get freaky.

Still excited to see your pics from the comp.

^ This. You train like a mad man b-zy! Be very proud of the effort you've put in. :)

Can't wait to see competition pics!

It's July 4th and 5th. Yeah, I haven't ruled it out at this point. I could definitely use all the money it'd save me though.

Yeah, its a much better fit for my "barrel waist" according to the head of NPC. I'd already be in the heavier classes, but would definitely train to get bigger.

Me too. I really hope they took some at pre judging though...its still going on and I'll literally pass out if I don't start drinking more right now.

And here's Jay Cutler, probably pissed by how long this is taking.

Night show just started and physique is last. :(

Ugh that's a longass day

Yeah, especially when you've been beyond dehydrated and on the verge of passing out since 4am lol. I'll probably be here for another 4 hours. They should limit the number of competitors. It's absurd how many people are here.
