TGR's Cheetos Chraining

Rest day. I got almost 8 hours last night. Soooo nice, but could've used a couple more.

Chest is sorer than it's been in a while. Wish my shoulders felt that way.

IMHO, stay your course with your stepson. I have a 32 year old stepson that was a real problem when he was young. The judge even labelled him as an incorrigible youth when he was 13. I refused to let him slip and kept expectations consistent (ie chores done, good grades, respect, etc). When he was 22 he called one day to tell me thank you for my efforts and that without me he would have probably landed in jail or on drugs.

That sounds promising KP. Some days it's hard focussing on the future outcome with all the negativity/stress of today. Thanks!

The norm... different parenting styles (as we both raised our own kids, so its hard) and of course the domestic fall out of such, as she never follows through.... I have a tough time just letting things go.... just seems to build/snowball in me. I need to learn some better coping strategies - Anyone got a good supplement for that lol
 
Man this thread blew up since I been away. Getting lots of good lift days in. Hope the family issues are easing up for you. I have some dealing with a step daughter but nothing like your dealing with. Good work handling things.

Called the doc at 1600 and she said I can dose the eye Rx 2BID max. Got real bad today, but was good from 0630-1500 off the first drops.

It did. At least it's semi-controllable. Hoping the pollen/allergies will pipe down some soon.

Supposed to get some rain tomorrow. That may help.

I've been on a gym hiatus since Tuesday for several reasons. I have to work tomorrow, and that combined with trying to knock out weekend chores I doubt I'll go until Monday. Never know what Sunday holds though.

I don't know if I needed one so soon after that month off, but, you're right, it won't hurt anything. Going to repeat this week of MD next weak, might go for higher squat numbers.

I know the feeling. I have a hard time taking days off. Even though I know it's beneficial

Still haven't lifted since Tuesday, and my diet has been off. I'll jump it back into gear tomorrow. I have jury duty too. Grr.

Still can't find something perfect for my eye allergies. The Rx, Pataday, worked ok but I had to take it 2x. I ran out Friday and didn't make it to get another sample. I didn't want them to call it in because I'm not spending a fortune on something that isn't working right.

So, using OTC Zaditor, and it's working ok but I'm using more than the directions allow.

Maybe I'll be able to get a new Rc to try tomorrow.

Combustion should be here this week. I need it.

Hope everyone's lifts are going great! I haven't opened any logs so that I can catch up. Will have plenty of time in the courthouse tomorrow, I'm sure.

Also, new grill/smoker!

cant see which it is, is it the komodo?
I sell and build BBQ's, smokers, etc.
Ceramic egg cookers are great

It is the Komodo. Also says 'Acorn' on it. I don't know if they make more than one kind.

No. We had some people over yesterday that got in but it's still a little cool for me. This is the month that I usually start though.
 
Jury duty?! Yuck! That's a pain! Lol I really hate that your eyes still aren't right!! I know you're ready for them to get back to normal!

Love the grill but I'm super jealous of the pool! That's got to be a blast in the dead of summer especially!!

Only 1.5hr in and it's already miserably boring.

I'll eventually find something that helps the eyes.

I hope.

The pool is priceless. When doing yard work a dip in the pool every hour or so is a lifesaver.

Ugh I bet!! It was the biggest waste of time when I had it! Luckily I didn't get called for the trial! Lol

I sure hope so too or at least it will just go away!

Oh no doubt! That would be awesome! We just have 30 pine trees in our tiny back yard! We bought a little pool just for the kids to play in and that was the biggest hassle with all of the pine straw! Lol

Actually after yesterday's leg workout, I found today chest/shoulders I really didn't have alot in the tank strength wise. Even after a fantastic night of sushi... Going to take a day or two off.
 
Brief recess. I have a feeling I'm going to be selected. It'll be a murder case if so, so, may be a 2-3 day trial. At least that's what the judge predicts on the first of the two trials we're being screened for.

I didn't have the 'free' time I expected during the juror selection process.

This might end up being a horrible lifting week if chosen.

Didn't get selected for the first one which was a possible self-defense case. Second case juror selection begins in 15.

Ha! I've heard some crazy excuses today.

This case is for auto theft, burglary, and resisting arrest. No murders. I was kind of surprised then that they made him sit through the previous questioning.

Hopefully I'll know one way or another by 7.
 
I got called for jury duty late last year, & when I told my boss about it & asked if he could write me a note or something to try to get out of it he goes, "Just dress up like a neo-nazi & whenever anyone tries to talk to you just spout racial epithets"

It prob would have actually worked, but some things aren't worth the effort lol

I'd lose my job if I got caught saying something like that. Some guy did say that he discriminates against minorities and they let him leave.

Alas, though, I was not chosen.

Off of work tomorrow to catch up on yard work and cut up a tree, so sleeping in until about six then imma kill the wheels.
 
I got all sorts of advice from people telling me how to get out of it too! I couldn't do it! Just waited it out like you! Glad you didn't get called!

Me, too. I had some people tell me to just not show up, but I couldn't do it. I don't think it says a whole lot about your character if you have to lie or no-show to get out.

I'm so excited, bro. A week since my last workout, and, I'll be in no rush. I'll keep my rests short except for squats...
 
Jury duty is a pain but it is a person's "duty" to serve. If I was on trial I'd want the best people on that jury as possible. Glad to see you back in the gym brother.
