Can anyone familiar with this routine help me out?

Great routine. Just finished 8 weeks. Fun routine quick strength gains. But too taxing on your joints .

But too taxing on your joints .

capital, underline, bold, italic, x2.

I did phat for a few months 2 years ago and ended up getting injured because of the insane volume. But I've always been a strength based lifter so intensity > volume is better for me personally

When I do high volume like phat, I end up pushing the numbers too much too fast and that's what got me

So suggestions on my what I could add, substitute or not do??

I actually am planning on starting a PHAT routine as well in the near future. When I first start this I do not plan to go to failure on any sets in the beginning and will likely either leave off sets or leave off certain lifts all together until 3-4 weeks in. I'll probably do the program for about 12 weeks to give it an honest shot. It does sound like a unique program though.

I run a PHAT style training, but I do it by the month instead of by the week. Have had no joint issues what so ever.

So you actually run it for 4 weeks only and then go back to some other routine?

No, I do strength for 4 weeks, then hyper for 4 weeks, then back and so on.

Oh I think I got ya now... Do you implement any of the hyper in the strength at all and vice versa? Like 3 days strength and 2 days hyper?

Do phat. Eat like an animal. Ull know when its time to switch routines. When u start feeling like you have been over training. Bout a month or two then switch to a three to four day routine.
Take a few days or a week off in between routines.
Do the og phat routine

I'm doing it for 6 weeks because of my 6 week cycle of hdrol. I've gotten lots of great ideas for workout routines on AM but decided to go with PHAT. I'm Jwing if I could add in bigger lifts at the beginning of some of my lifts. I know it's set up for a reason but is like some extra! I just don't want to counteract anything.

I agree, it is by far one of my favorite routines to run. Results are seen and experienced quickly and I always look forward to the days workout. But, I do have to up my cissus intake like I do with GVT because I really feel it.

Did everyone miss the part where a deload is recommended every 8-12 weeks?

I sometimes feel that people choose to not realize this. Hard to understand the importance until it is actually done and then measuring the progress leading up to the deload and then after.

My only question is would it tamper with the routine too much to add decline barbell bench or decline barbell bench on power upper body day or. Barbell lunges on power lower body day

Incline** ^

I've had great results swapping flat bb and incline from week to week. I don't follow the provided examples like an instruction manual, only as a guideline. I personally think he mixes in too much assistance work for power days and I prefer to add a set into the primary compound move, but that is just my opinion.

Decline is pretty useless IMO. It increases your chances of shoulder issues and doesn't really help for gains. The only ppl I'd recommend it for are women.

I'm doing the same my dude. I love this program and saw great results with it off cycle I can wait to see what it does when I'm on. I'm running hella along with some 11oxo and stano. Only 5 days in but I can already see more ab definition and my shoulder vein was poppin out today in the gym lol. What training program are you going to be using during PCT?
