Quest for a second state championship

I won the 2013 Maryland's Strongest Man title last November for the 200 class, and now I'm shooting for Pennsylvania this September. I have long arms so my overhead isn't great, but it helps with deadlift, farmers, and stones. Here's my current stats. I'll update them as I progress.

Max overhead: 295
Max deadlift: 560
Max 16" deadlift: 675
Max axle C&P: 265
Max log: 245
Max monster dumbbell: 170
Max farmers: 320/hand for 50 feet
Max yoke: 800 for 50 feet
Max stone: 360 over a 52" bar

C'mon you've never seen the crossfit douchers posting crap about their WOD? Yea apparently they have something called a "workout of the day" that changes every day

Oooh haha. Ya I know about all of that. Cultfit. Good one :D

Where are you located? I might know of a place close to you.

Im looking into the Weight Room in Richmond, Va. They seem to have a good following just waiting to see where grad school takes me 1st before trying to join anywhere.

Awesome. My sister lives just outside of Richmond.

Overhead press PR. Pressing is by far my weakest area, so this is huge for me.

Ya still alive?

Haha. Yes sir. Been busy with getting things ready for the first USSC Strongman show. But still training. I need to get back to posting soon!

Thats life! Glad life is still pressing onward for ya

Just found out the events for Pennsylvania's Strongest Man. They are as follows, in no particular order as of yet:
Press medley: log, axle, dumbbell, keg (no weights set)
Keg toss
Car deadlift
Caber carry ( basically get a caber upright in your hands and carry it 80 feet without dropping it)
Fire truck pull (harness)

Let the training begin!

I was training 16" deadlift in anticipation of a hummer tire event in Pennsylvania's Strongest Man this September. Just found out it will be car deadlift though. Oh well. Progress all the same.

That was actually the first time I had attempted a 1RM in about 4 months. Got 550 last time. I try not to do singles too often, opting more for triples. Thank you sir!
