CaHMB dissolved in Lemon Juice = FaHMB?

Been looking at this new MuscleTech Clear Muscle and before dropping $100 on something, I wanted to do a little research....

Would dissolving CaHMB in an acid such as lemon juice produce free acid HMB? I remember seeing a post in a thread somewhere...I thought it was here...that discussed the potential. Anyone have any thoughts or even some sciences to back this or bunk it?

NO,

Experimenting CaHMB with vinegar would do the trick but you will not get the same dosage;)

Im sure once Clear Muscle hits the e-tailers it will be far less than whatever prices you've been seeing thus far.

I've seen many people try this with various things (lemon juice, vinegar, etc) trying to make it something else (in this case CaHMB to FaHMB, but also other scenarios) and its never panned out how people have predicted.

I'll be logging 12wk of Clear Muscle here on AM starting the 19th if you're interested

I want to see you remain on the same diet and training to see if it does anything. from what ive seen there is a training program to follow.
that's a red flag to me.

That's because of the way it works. There's no science showing it will do anything for a typical routine most of us follow.

I would very much like to see someone do a study showing what it will do for people on a typical routine, with a small caloric deficit.

um... im not seeing the science at all.
and I will say it again.. ive taken lbs of HMB and never saw any thing from it yet they are saying the same thing now..
I aint buying it.. they want you to do their work out routine because they know if you stick to that you will make some gains that they can then claim was caused from this new HMB.

The placebo group did make gains. You haven't even looked at the science I guess.

You've taken lbs of Fa HMB??

My diet will remain the same throughout, but unfortunately I have to run the given routine, it was part of the circumstances that allowed me receive free product :D

My training partner is going to be running the routine alongside me (but without supplementing FaHMB)...

They want people to stick with the routine in the Wilson et al study because the overreaching and tapering phase are integral to the results.
