About to hop off the treadmill. 10m, some 7mph sprints, some 5% inc at 3.6-3.8. Legs are still right from Monday.

For as serious a lifter as you are, I'd recommend a rack/cage that is heavy duty enough to handle a failed lift "drop" of the BB. It's an investment in health. Those calf raise numbers are strong!

Thanks Mark!

For sure, Swanks and Wasme recommended that as well.

I'm more and more entertaining the idea of building my own out of wood. I could easily build one for around $50 that would hold a 1000#+ drop, but the safety bar would have to be stationary. Unless I could find a removable steel bar strong enough...

630. That's crazy.

If you know how to weld or someone that does know how to weld, you can build a sick one! One of my best friends is a damn good welder and he said whenever I need a new one or spend the $ on the material, we will create a badass one

That's what I also suggested. It's nice to know people with those skills

I've seen some really nice cages built from UniStrut. If you want to build one this stuff is heavy duty and can be bolted together easily.

Solid work right there! Seeing that workout gets me all excited for what is to come in the next few weeks...

Rest day today.

Got my ATV and scooter back from the shop so I put the scooter back together and messed around on them last night.

The extra hour sleep didn't help too much. Still exhausted.

I'll catch up on everyone's log today.

Stay up later when you have a rest day? or do you aim for same bedtime and just get a little extra time in the morning?ATV... nice!

I aim for the same time. Last night I state up a little later catching up on normal nightly chores after riding the toys up and down the street.

Same here really. I try and aim for the same bed time and get up time. I usually feel better on a set schedule. I operate better on less sleep when it's consistent then I would 7 hs , 10 hrs , 8 hrs , just bouncing all over

What a night...

We got an email notification yesterday saying kiddo was getting low on lunch money.

That's odd, because we pack his lunch and just put $50 in there about a month ago for emergencies.

The story started with, "I've been buying this kid lunch because he never brings any money or food". Then, after saying I was going to the school to talk with them it changed to "I'm buying ice cream sandwiches".

Dunno what's going on, but I'm not a fan of lying.

Not at all.

Had a talk with him but I don't feel good about it. I think it was in one and out the other.

There is lots of background info missing, but stuff has been going on similar to this for about 5 months, and almost every week.

You other guys with kids: what do you do?

In other news: it's arm day. Going to crush it today.

I hope.

How does lunch work in schools down there?? And what grade is he in??

6th grade and 12 years old.

You can take cash (which we don't usually carry) or load an account that stays with him as long as he's at that school.

The money isn't really the issue here though.

The school here provides an online food tracking system. It shows the money spent and what was purchased so it's easy to catch any "bad food choices". Is your system similar?

Yes, but until last night we didn't think it was necessary to check. Still though, the bad food choices are minor. I'm upset that he made up some story about helping some needy kid instead of being honest.

Absolutely agree. Lying was never tolerated in my home as well. I was trying to give you a method to "check" the "story". Whenever I caught my son in a lie I would assign him the nastiest, most hated chore: washing cars(including under carriage with hand brush), cleaning toilets with hand towels, picking up dog poop, washing floors by hand on knees, raking leaves, spreading mulch, anything that was "hard", "sweat filled", disgusting or wet/dirty. I would tell him that another lie and another chore just like this one.

That's a great idea

BTW, he is 25 now and a Navy man. He tells me all the time that he can't stand when lower ranks lie to him. Since he supervises these ranks he "assigns" them to terrible work details as punishment. So, the lesson does carry forward! Lol

Those are greAt ideas KP.

I understand the lying is but just trying to figure out the 50$ for emergencies with school lunch. That's not how it works where I live. Or even close to that system lol. But have you checked to make sure his lying?? Loyalty among boys that age is a big thing. Maybe he doesn't wanna embarrass a friend after he was sworn to secrecy?? So he was honest till u wanted to check then changed his story. I don't tolerate lying or was it allowed growing up. But at the sane time being punished when u were trying to do the right thing sux. But if lying is the case. I agree with kp suggestions. And also if u pack lunch the money would come out until he proved responsible again. If u pay online them it should be a click away from solving an emergency. For the most part I'd hope anyway

The $50 is the minimum deposit his school allows in the 'lunch fund'. He left his lunch box in the car one day which is why the emergency fund was set up. (It's a private school, which is probably why the minimum I so high. His last school had no minimum)

He's already come clean. He came clean because we know the kids mom that he said he was buying lunch for, and we were concerned what was going on. As soon as he found out we were going to check up on it the story changed.

Agree 100% about lying. It's not going to happen under my roof. I just don't know what to do yet...

Yeah I never went to private school. I remember taking home a lunch bill to my parents. My how lunch has changed.

You other guys with kids: what do you do?

My coworker's kid didn't realize that she had lost her lunch card, and a kid found it and was using it for a whole year. Over $800 later the school had to investigate what was going on and made his parents pay for the bill.

It's so frustrating when your kids do things like that! They know better because you've raised them better! You did the right thing addressing it like you did! He was just testing the waters I'm sure. Now he knows that won't be tolerated and will be more honest!! Parenting is definitely one of the hardest, yet most rewarding things in the world!

Love these ideas! My 13 yr old daughter would flip out!! I would just sit aside and enjoy the shoe! Haha

Pretty much how things have happened when I was raising my kids alone...

Hope you had a great arm session Thomas!

Wow. I really had you pegged for early 20's based on your pictures.

Hope you had a great arm session Thomas!

I destroyed it. I'll post it up here shortly, but the SS's and the limited breaks had my arms thick like trees. It lolled like there were snakes crawling around in my arms.

Thanks!

I walked in the door and my wife immediately said, "it looks like it was arm day".

That what I'm talking about.

I just turned 34 in February and this past winter I went and played hockey at an outdoor rink. I played better than I did In college and after! Everyone was like when was the last time you played and I said 10 years ago, they couldn't believe it. I actually scored 8 goals against these guys, it was a great feeling to have guys fresh out of high school and college out there and I'm schooling them all. I'm contributing all of that to weights and lifting. I never lifted really when I played in high school or college, I just played hockey almost everyday. I screwed up bad, if I had the training down then I would of been pro for sure, young and fuking stupid! Age doesn't mean sh!t

Sounds like portions of my life right now. Except marriage. That's solid as a rock.

Yup!!! I feel better at 32 than at 23. Physically I feel great, emotionally I feel amazing, and spiritually I am at peace! :)

Some things to add to the log:

My eyes have been very sensitive to light over the last week and very itchy. So much that I've stayed away from AM because my eyes are so exhausted at the end of the day. I'm leaning towards allergies, so I'm switching to Zyrtec from the generic. I'll call the doc tomorrow and see if they have anything to add, but I'm hoping the Zyrtec helps a lot.

I dunno if I'm lactose intolerant or what, but I put milk in my coffee this morning instead of almond milk and almost immediately went to the bathroom. Whatever the reason, I'm ok with that and I'll slowly fade out the almond milk and go back to milk. :)

Going to be logging Combustion soon. Looking forward to trying it!

Think I may add in 1/2-1s Pumpx3 with my 3/4 Stimul8 this week.

Don't be alarmed if the pump with pumpx3 & stimul8 combined isn't as good as just using that amount of pumpx3 - most stims are vaso-constrictors, & inhibit the pump to some degree. Just saying, in case you notice less than usual, it's not the pumpx3 failing you. It's just the sum of the parts.

Thanks guys and gals! I'm a very old (feeling, at times) 32.92 years old.

Haha I know what you mean! I hope you figure out your eyes and milk issue! Hopefully it is allergies and the Zyrtec will help! Keep us posted!

I didn't know there was a whole lot of pump to the stimul8.

I may save the Px3 then, if that's the case.

It's prob allergies. Florida eventually kills everyone.

I lol'd at the Florida part. Stimul8 doesn't, but I mean that all the stims in it will mildly decrease the effect of the pumpx3. No biggie. But that's why they have stim-free pump blends like pumpx3, hemavol, etc - they work the best without stims.

Lol it's bad in SC too! Everyone was miserable for about a month. It's crazy how it effects your body too- not just sinus' like you would imagine!
