In need of some bulk powder advice!

Hey brahs, I've been doing a lot of reading and I'm tired of buying vitamins that have proprietary blends and may be under dosed.
I was thinking of buying a simple multi and powders in bulk, but im trying to make it as cost effective as possible.
Other than my preworkout stuff, I'm taking ALCAR, choline bitartrate, and fish oil.
Thinking about adding:
Spirulina
CQ10
Grape Seed Extract
N acetyl-cysteine
Green Tea/ Caffeine Anyhydrous mix

What do you guys think are must haves and should i change or remove anything? Id appreciate any input

Do you have a machine to cap the powder? Cause NAC is nasty. I could imagine Choline Bitartrate is too.

I'd vote for nac and coq10, but dont forget to add in the cost of the capping equipment, the empty caps and most importantly, the amount of time it takes to cap stuff. The savings doesnt seem worth it to me, especially when you factor in sales, and coupon deals that are often available on pre made products.

I might invest in one soon but I usually just mix everything up in a cup of arizona green tea and I can't taste a thing

Thats exactly what im afraid of. Not neccessarily the caps and stuff but just deciding wether the powders or an all in one multi is a better value.... I dont want switch over to powders unless I am going to end up saving money but I've been spending a lot of time on examine.com, and now every vitamin I look at seems to be underdosed or has a shady looking proprietary blend lol

Well, I cant really advise you too much on the powder idea, I was just pointing out some things you should be aware of. In terms of multivitamins, Im pretty happy with orange triad, I dont work for them, I dont own stock in their business, Im not a rep for them, I just like their stuff, Im also very satisfied with PES products, you can investigate these brands, see if they are up to your expectations.

Save money on a multi by investing in a blender and buying some veges and fruit.

I make enough for two days with:

2 bananas
4 carrots
2 apples
2 kiwifruit
1 cup grapes
1 cup spinach
1 cup red cabbage
1 cup fruit juice
Add water as required.

Then I just get in vitamin D3 and pop a tums.

Much better for you than a multi.

Check out our line of products (SNS) for cheap bulk products.

Some bulks should be capped unless you can mask the flavour verry well. I have 8 tubs of GPLC i cannot get through as it is just so foul.

Thanks for the recommendation Jiigzz but after doing the math, I really want to give this at least one chance as it seems pretty cheap and some of the positive effects of supplementation are dose dependent.

Revision to OP: I'm currently thinking of getting
Grape Seed Extract
Alpha Lipoic acid
Spirulina
Garlic Extract
Green Tea Extract

Not sure if any joints supps are really worth it

I've been buying bulk for a few months now and it is very cost effective. However I don't cap the powders...just mix with water & Crystal Light. The worst one is ALCAR...very bad vinegar taste! But I also buy some name brands as well. BCAA's take a bit to dissolve in water and usually when I mix it I want to drink it right there. I switched to Xtend right now & may try Amino IV when that's gone. DAA, TMG, Beta Alanine, Agmatine, creatine, are all fine in bulk & mix well in water & don't taste too bad....just the ALCAR. When that's gone I will be switching to the cap form. I also have some bulk caffeine & that can be bitter...but 200mg is only about 1/32 of a tsp (be CAREFUL with caffeine!!! The best thing to do when buying a new bulk supplement is buy a small amount first to try it. If you can handle the taste then buy a bigger amount.

THe freedom to bulk is nice because I can combine what I what & ONLY what I want. Right now I mix DAA, ALCAR, TMG beta alanine, caffeine & creatine & drink it midday as a pick-me-up...

Yeah, ALCAR is a tough one to mask.

I suggest not buying caffeine powder, unless you're using a milligram scale.

Mix it with fruit juice you will never know it's in there.

Too much sugar while I'm cutting for summer...I'd rather eat fruit. But I found the Lemon Aid flavor Crystal Light works best to mask any bad tastes...

You could always do a prison pill, take a tab of TP put the powder in the middle and wrap it up. Works pretty well. I just swig it with as little amount of water as possible myself.

HAHA!!! OMG I never heard of that!!! I don't think I'll be trying that anytime soon though! LOL
