Doctor's Visit Problems

Alright, so for the last couple of months, I've been waking up randomly (about once every two weeks) nauseous, throwing up, and then staying in bed sick all day. Well, I made the mistake of mentioning it to some family, and now they've scheduled a doctor's appointment for me on Friday...

This would be fine, of course, if I weren't 4ish weeks into an Epi/Trest cycle that they don't know about. I'm assuming that the doctor is going to take my blood, and I need to know if this sht is going to show up on whatever type of blood test that will be run. This particular doctor is very anti-steroid, and so is my family and girl, so this could potentially be an issue.

Obviously, my liver enzymes, lh, test, estrogen, and plenty of other things will look pretty fu(ked up, but do you think the doctor will be looking at this stuff for morning nausea? Any advice would be great, thanks.

Im going to say ya. You might have to come clean, and hes going to suggest you come off for sure. ****y situation

Why does epistane make people throw up? Doesn't seem like a side effect that's worth it. Can you at least say the brand??

I just wouldn't go. Are you 12 or somethin? Adults can make there own decisions, just put it off till your cycle is done

Or just claim ignorance like you didn't know what you were taking, your friend just said its a good supplement

Lol Agreed, every time I go to the doctor it's for some weird **** I did. Never a routine visit.

I told my doc I was taking test boosters when I went to him for gyno.

Sounds like you're sick, you should be happy that your family is concerned about you. Sounds like your a bit stubborn and a little selfish to not consider your families or girlfriends concern with your use of anabolic steroids. Also if this was happening before your started your cycle, it clearly wasn't the best idea to start the cycle anyway. Although it may not be the cause of your sickness, it could very well have contributed to it or made it even worse. Maybe re-evaluate your priorities. Also, it's absolutely the dumbest idea to lie to your doctor.

Ya don't go bro. Tell them you magically feel better.
But, id stop your cycle now. Pct, and then go to the doc.

I'm 27 lol. They're just concerned, and I told them I'd go before I thought of the roids thing. I guess I'll just play dumb and jump into PCT pretty soon.

I didn't expect the sickness to continue this long. I guess you're right though. We'll see how the visit goes.

How differently will it look now than it would if I had been off cycle for a while? Like, could I say it was from a while back? I assume that the doctor won't be super well-versed in steroids.

They won't test you for lh/test etc. they will probably test your liver enzymes and they may be off. They may or may not check lipids.

Most of the time they'll get a CBC, which will evaluate your hemoglobin, white blood count, platelets, etc, a BMP which is electrolytes, creatinine, bun, and probably check liver enzymes, calcium, and albumin.

You said you were sick before you started, so probably viral. I would not mention the Epi for that reason.

Golden rule thou...Never start a cycle unless you are 100% fit. Taking ph/ steroids puts more load on your system, and if your not 100% to start with then......well I don't need to explain, but it will be a wasted cycle.

Get well .....plan another cycle .... good luck

Uh what kind of viral infection is going to make him have intermittent nausea/vomiting/fatigue every 2 weeks?

Those symptoms suggest something chronic but non-specific. I wouldn't even hazard a guess what it might be without physical exam and labs, speculation is useless.

Alright, well that would be great, because if the only steroid-related things they find are liver enzymes, then I can probably just blame that on accutane.

Yeah, I'm don't really have much of an idea myself. I went to my chiropractor/kinesiologist about a week ago, because I also haven't been able to activate my chest or biceps during workouts, and he suggested that it might be a stomach infection, and gave me some antibiotic-type stuff. And apparently this part of the stomach is attached to the pecs/biceps on the acupuncture chart. He's a pretty smart guy, and has never been wrong since I've gone to him, so hopefully that's all that it is.

Have you taken a pregnancy test? Lol!

Seriously though, have you evaluated the food you ate prior to bed on those nights? It could be something like a GI issue or an intolerance to certain foods.

Lol, I've had that joke made to me a few times when I describe it to people.

And I've tried to recently. No difference so far.

No, I took it over the summer last year. Didn't really have any sides, but I guess I could blame any liver distress on it.

Hm, interesting; I do think you should probably have a full work up to rule out serious abnormalities but my guess is that they won't find much. I'd have a pretty low threshold to go to CT although they'd provably do ultrasound first.

Off topic. But how's your skin holding up on AAS? Any acne come back?

I've got one pimple in the middle of my back, and one light one on the side of my forehead in week 5 of epi/Trest. Skin clarity is still just as good. I just might get one pimple a week, and then they'll go away in a week or two. The real test will be PCT though.

Edit: I had moderate acne on my cheeks, forehead, and chest, and pretty bad acne on my back before ~6 months on accutane.

Lucky for you testosterone blood work is it's own test and they will most likely
Do the typical CBC,ckmb, cmb, lipids, but to test for test he will specifically need to write that on the blood work form. Stall on getting the blood work for a few days or just tell the truth when you see the Doc. If this is a future problem with your family schedule the appt while your girl and family are typically work. Don't forget there's HIPPA laws.

exactly, and why would you be starting a cycle when your randomly puking every couple of weeks. is this just code for you get drunk and puke every couple of weeks? srs or maybe your pregnant?

Accutane, antibiotics, steroids, doctors, chiropractors, etc.. seriously sounds like you need more prescription drugs and doctors.

lol, your a good guy, srs not screwing with you, but remember, CT is expensive, especially for hypochondriacs without good insurance. if there is such a thing as good insurance anymore???????

Nope, no alcohol. I really don't know what it is. I'm nauseous most mornings when I wake up (I have pretty bad insomnia, so I usually blame it on this), and it's so bad that I get sick every once in a while.

So are outpatient dr appts and labs. It'll be most likely to rule out something serious as opposed to continued surveillance which many providers would want to do.

agreed. I didn't really think about continued follow-ups and other testing that may ensue. ruling out the serious is probably the best option.
your smart too, lol, no homo.

btw, good to talk to someone else in the medical community. I'm gonna be a brain surgeon you know, lmao.

well you can let us know how the medicals turn out if you want. but you might want to take a break from everything for awhile to let your system get back on track, even if the labs and whatnot turn out ok. better safe than sorry.
idk if the doc will test for this but you may have an h. pylori infection. just a thought.

I mean the biggest reason to hop to imaging and the reason we do so so often is to rule out something catastrophic. Once you know it's not HCC or sonething, then you can work it up, but there's less urgency. If I had to guess, gluten sensitivity would be up there.
