Powerlifting meets in San Diego

Anybody know of any? I wanna start competing but the USPA seems to intimidating and hard to sign up for. How can I start competing? Any suggestions or advice?

I can't find any that's nearby. And can I just show up at a USPA meet? They all seem like you have to qualify first. Any other input would be greatly appreciated

You only have to qualify for national and world meets. There's no qualifier needed for a state meet. Look up meets over at powerliftingwatch.com
