Meat grinder. Knife fell off counter and hit the foot pedal while I had my fingers in it to get the meat to feed.
 
Holy crap luke hope that heals fast! This happened to my buddy to, almost ripped one of his fingers of as well!

Brutal.

I see no point getting down in the dumps. Its a total waste of time. Stay positive and move forward. Some may not believe in God but I do and I believe every day is a gift and it's up to me how to view circumstances. I try choose the positive.

I went through a tough time as well man, had 3 surgeries and was bed ridden for almost 5 months. Staying positive makes the time go faster, best of luck and heal fast
 
Well tomorrow's the day! Go in to see if I've healed up enough to take these pins out and move on with the process!

I'm not sure they're called "pliers", but yeah...

At least they aren't screws.

I talked to my mom-in-law last night who is a physical therapist to see what to expect. She said "Make sure you take some pain meds before you go because they won't give you any." Wow, not looking forward to that!

It wasn't that bad when I had it done, and I've had multiple pins multiple times. It feels awkward coming out of the bone.
 
They could just put you in an MRI machine and pull them out that way.
You would be such a badass!! :box:

Hope it heals quick for you man. Just keep up with good nutrition and whatever else you can do for the moment and you'll be back that much sooner.
 
When I got my pins pulled out of my hand it felt like pulling a tooth...out of your hand I guess if that makes any sense lol
 
And yes it pretty much is just a guy with a pair of pliers lol
 
First lifting session in 26 days today. Couldn't wait for the use of my right hand any longer! Still have five pins in my fingers but I figured out a way to not use the hand! This is now how I do rows and other lifts that will facilitate the use of a strap. Just put the strap over my elbow or in the crook of my elbow. ROM isn't quite the same but at least I'm back to lifting!!!

PINS ARE OUT!!!!!

Nurse got one pin out but couldn't get the others out so the Dr had to come back in. He even had a hard time pulling them and said, "Wow, you're bones are really hard!" I guess doing 9 caps/day of Super Cissus Rx has been beneficial! Lol!
 
Used to be my dominant hand. 5 weeks makes ya make changes. Lol! Once healed, it'll be dominant again.

In a few more days I'll be able to soak my hand and get some more of the nasty dead stuff off. Yea!!

Bones still aren't completely healed and still don't have full movement or feeling back but progress IS being made!
