I have low back probs that limit my back sqt. I have been doing frt sqt for a while and love it. I can push big numbers without pain and get in a great leg day.
I dont like the straps either. When the weight gets up there i puzz out and use pads to avoid crazy bruising. My front squat numbers suck. And I tried usig the straps to help with the bar and that just made it worse. Wish I could front squat more.
I used to SS back and frt,but my low back started keeping from doing heavy back sqts. I started focusing more on frt because its easier on the low back. In a little over a year i am at 415 frt sqts. It has helped my back sqt #s as well.Would you front and back squat in same session or is it best to alternate? I've never really done much front squatting before, so I'm quite low on weight at present, building it up, and I follow a few sets of front squats with heavier back squats. Not sure if that's a good idea or not, but I enjoy it anyway.

Thanx bro. I can barely back sqt half of that most days tho. That's some serious front squat weight. Nicely done.

My squats suck..overall lol! Just bad leg genes I guess. Wish I had stronger legs. Leg work seems to really spark upper body growth for me
