Thanks guys. I know I had three in me but I ****ed that up. I ended up sending the monolift into the wall lol Not a proud moment. I'm pissed. 600 now feels completely different from the 600 in my meet. Pretty much zero suffocating pressure under the bar.

Squat, 55lb bar, 11lb worth of collar
135x10
225x8
315x5
365x3
405x1
465x1 + Belt
505x1
555x1 w/ wraps
606x2

Glute-ham raise
BWx3x15

I questioned the first rep's depth but standstill, I have it.

Damn, buddy! That's kickin some serious ass!

Warmup
Lacrosse ball mash glute/ham/hip flexors
Foam roll adbuctors, ITB
Walking lunges, forwards and backwards
Side lunges with overhead extension
Banded olympic wall squat into ER with both legs
Banded lateral hip distraction
KStarr hip opener stretch

Hips were absolute money after that.

I questioned depth again of the first rep when I watched it again but I think it's good:

*sigh* I'm not catching you this year. Bastard.

Awesome, phenomenal work my man. Truly impressive weight.

Harder to tell on the first one at the angle, but I think you got it. Second looks like you crushed IMO. Freaking awesome squating Sean. Incredible.

Close enough for gym. Awesome work. I wana see you do 650 big guy!

lol dafuk, you just matched my deadlift on squat...

I'm also coming for you and your big ass squat, sir. Be checkin your rear view. ;)

Hm you're old as dirt though ( :P ) so that counts for a lot

1 year, 3 months from masters. :biglaugh:

I don't think I'll compete at 308 again though. I have to eat like a horse to stay above 305, and my shirts are getting shorter while I'm not getting taller.

275 for me.

pfft, masters 3 this year youngin

i still think you can carry 300 @ 20%

275, man, that's a long ways away and how weaker do you get?

<---anti-cutter...

Ok, question for you guys. When i BB back squat and started getting deep my back hurts. I think i have anterior pelvic tilt and to stay upright im having to severely hyperextend my back to keep from leaning forward. Anyone know how to correct this?

How tight are your hip flexors? Squeeze glutes, braced neutral spine.

I believe they are tight causing me to anterior pelvic tilt.

Ive never been properly taught how to squat! When i played football, the only thing the coaches were worries about was depth. They didnt care how far you leaned forward; so this brings me to my question. How the heck do you squeeze your glutes and squat down?!?

Squeeze glutes before you initiate the squat to create external rotation in the hip, then decend while "spreading the floor" or "screwing your feet in", allowinng your hips to open and knees track to the sides. blah blah blah blah post video like Napalm said haha

Maybe, I just hate slow ass recomps. 275 isn't really much of a cut for me, I'm naturally around 285-290. If I want to weigh more I've really got to eat; I'm eating A LOT just to stay above 300, with 2 refeeds a week.

I'm sure I'd lose some pressing strength, but I'm convinced my squat & DL wouldn't suffer at 280-ish.

But I've been wrong a lot before. Other option is maybe stay at 300, go to 20%, and put on the gear. >:)
