Hitting up Carb nite now to drop weight a little faster so I wont get my cheat meal for a couple of days.

Last cheat meal was 2 medium size pizzas from dominos with an order of wings....I think my next cheat meal is gonna be asian!

I broke down and had my cheat meal tonight. DQ again. Double Cheeseburger, 6 piece chicken strip basket, 1/2 my daughter's hot dog, and a mini double fudge cookie dough blizzard. Needed it mentally. I was hungry an hour after lunch today.

That sounds SOO good. Pure anabolic goodness right there. Dirty carbs=massive gains!! hahaha
 
I don't know about you but when I spike my carbs like that I get a serious pump. ESPECIALLY when I diet real hard and then have a cheat meal. Walking around for a day feeling like a tank. Feels awesome!

Nice. Interested to hear his feedback. I've yet to read a bad review.
They're still as useful if you "bitch-wrap" them yourself. I sometimes believe I got more out of mine when I self-wrapped than when I had a pro wrapper wrap me (they felt more restrictive than anything and altered my form).

It would definitely take getting used to cast wraps. I only had it done once and it was painful as ****. My tiny little wife wrapped me at last comp and it worked out fine, though.
 
Strangulators were too tight and cast-like for me, the stiffest I like are Convicts and 2XH's, and Strangulators are stiffer.

The more you squat, guessing the better you'll like them.

Thanks for your input Nomz. Kind of a bummer, from the reviews people were saying the convicts were stiffer, that's why I got the Strangulators.

Oh well, I'll get my use from them.

I'm sure the bolded was my issue. Way excessive for a 400-500 squatter like myself.

If you wrap yourself with the wraps pre-rolled with tension, they'll still be very good.
 
Sorry to jump in the middle of your wrap conversation But do u carb back load everyday or just workout days?

Every day. I just adjust my total carb intake around my activity level. If your goal is to lose weight then there's no backload on off days unless you train the next day. At least that part is how I understood it in the book.

I'm contemplating ditching the April 19th meet. The week of the 17th off throws a wrench in it, and my last training week before meet week is going to be stressful, diet and training will be questionable. I probably won't be able to press over 275 either. I might as well just get my money back and do a different meet.

True true my friend. I had no problem going in and taking a token bench but there's too much in the way leading up to the meet. Sucks! Next time though. If stuff works out, then I'll still compete, but it's not looking like it.

I had trouble getting tension at set up with the first couple sets. Threw some block in there and worked on locking my knees out hard. Took the blocks off and breezed through 468+80. Took 468+120 for a ride and it stopped right above my ****ing knee for 2 seconds. I ran out of baby powder right before it. Powered through it at least. Only grabbed a few sets on video that I'll throw up later.

Thinking about breaking my 575x3 squat PR on friday. We'll see.

hahaha I heard it sucks. I'm debating whether or not I should bench before I go instead of Wednesday. I imagine there will be bruising.
 
Hey, how do you guys personally gage when you want to make a PR attempt? Do you just wing it or do you prefer to plan it out? I try to plan it out, but my will power sucks
 
Depends on the practitioner and their style. I tell mine to go buck wild on me even though she says it should be 3/10 on pain scale. I break out in a cold sweat, breathe heavy, and end up bruised.
