I was lookin into investing in some lifting shoes and dont mind spending the money on the shoes as long as a get good use out of them. Now im using puma cell gen which is a cross fit type shoe with the elivated heel. But not flat like the adipowers. I used these shoes for lifting and running. My question is can I do all my lift with the adipowers? Ive hear both that u can and cant on thing like deadlifts. Any input from guys that own them. I know I cant run in them wich is ok with me

Ps all I can seam to find right now is half a size bigger then what I wear will this be.ok? Or should I wait till my size are instock to have a nice fit

Adipowers are not a flat soled shoe. They have a good sized, extremely sturdy wedged heal developed for Olympic athletes and squatters that require an extremely sturdy sole and heal.

I would ONLY use them for squats or Olympic lifts, and only if they will benefit your type of stance/technique.

A size bigger won't be okay. You're spending $200 on shoes. Why do you want to spend it on ones that don't fit? They're a hefty investment.

So wearing them for things like arm shoulder and chest workouts would be out of the question? One of.the reasons why I choose the shoe was the look. Im loving how they look. And would like at wear them all the time when lifting

They serve a specific function, not for looks. They're uncomfortable to walk around in even. The whole purpose of them is to contribute to your squat and Olympic lifts if you have any mobility issues where a flat soled shoe will restrict you.. They might help with standing overhead press and some people use them for competitive bench pressing to help drive their heals into the floor, especially if a powerlifting federation requires your heal to be in contact the entire time.

Purchasing them for a general all around gym shoe to do curls and chest workout, is a waste of money IMO. Wear them if you want for all of that, but just keep in mind-they're expensive because of the extremely stable sole and heal that lock your feet in and will not depress under hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of pounds.

Thanks man squates are a weakness of mine. Ive bin lifting for few years on and off but just last year started squating and im looking into improving my squate. My form is one of the things holding me back. I dont think my squate is horrible but its not up to pare with my other lifts I think. Im 155 and can do 315 for reps with my halfassed form lol. But like a lot of people think if I just used the shoes for squates then yea theres pricey. Wich makes it harder to justify spending 200 on them. Do I need them no. Do I need better shoes for things like squates yes. Either way im goin to be buying a new pair of shoes. What would u do in my situation if u had the money for them and was really lookin into improving my squate?

315 for reps at 155 is not weak, it's pretty darn good. Try a minimal shoe (not those lame toe ones!). If I'm not in my Oly's I wear Merrill Barefoot shoes. They are about $115, but are good for literally everything.

By all means, give em a go for squats. Just don't expect to want to wear them every single gym session. Second I'm done squatting, I kick my Oly shoes off.
