Article: 20g Is Optimal Post Workout Protein Shake

What about training with more volume than just 8 sets of 10 reps? Wouldn't that be a factor in FSR? Just thinking out loud.

or instead of complaining about whey cost buy chicken.... lol a pound of chicken at my wincostore is 1.6 a pound... 4oz before, 4oz after boom you got 80cent protein per workout... plus whole foods>>>whey. these articals sometimes kill me.....

Something akin to German volume training?

(Tagging along with the outloud thoughts)

The final statement contradicts the title...

"It remains unknown whether the optimal dose of protein for the maximal stimulation of muscle protein synthesis differs between the 120-kg athlete and 80-kg male exerciser compared with the 60-kg female exerciser", the researchers write. "Future studies should be designed to fully elucidate how muscle mass or the amount of muscle mass exercised influences the response of MPS to different doses of protein."

looking at the fsr chart the the differences between 10 to 20 and 20 to 40 when exercised seem to have increased similarly when exercised .slightly less from 20 to 40 but not by much .plus the fact the amount of muscle mass exercised and their overall weight and training experience was not taken into account makes this study for me not very convincing.
