TRT dose vs Mass gaining dose

So I'm currently on TRT taking 160 mg per week split in two injections I've been doing this for about 7 months. What's a mass gaining or bodybuilding dose to see big results 400? 500? And how long can I thy it before backing off back to my current 160 mg Thanks

I'm 205 lbs 15% work out 5 days a week

500mg per wk for 10-12 wks is very nice.

I am on 120mg a week split e3.5d and I do a bulk every spring simply by adjusting caloric intake and gym routine and typically add 10-12lbs over 2 months. I'm 6' and normally walk around at 205-210lbs.

My point is that that we are very fortunate in that we can maintain higher levels of test and see nice gains by simple adjustments. But, if you want to do this by bumping up test levels, then 250 is a number that will see faster and bigger results. In my last blast at 250mg a week, I gained 17lbs in just under 3 months, along with adjusted diet. You'll get answers of anywhere from 400-1000mg and it simply isn't needed and just adds additional sides. Will you see a big increase in weight and size- sure, you can. But I think it is better to balance both gains and normal living.

When I was doing 120 mg a week I was seeing sides and my doc bumped me up to 160mg sand my sides started to go away. So I guess I'll go up to 250 and see what it does

Very strange that a higher dose addressed that, but good for you. In the future, keep some pantothenic acid (vit B5) around. 500mg-1g is great for acne.

Any vitamin store. It's just vitamin B5. A B complex would be fine as well, but you can pick up a months supply of just B5 for like $5.

I personally would get your body fat under control before upping the dose

What percentage and why do I need it under control first ?

two rows of abs visible without flexing roughly
you'll respond to the drugs better when you're lean and get more from them

Yea but testosterone aids in fat burning if your diet is on point so I don't see how the testosterone could hurt. I mean he's already on TRT

No, testosterone does not aid in fat burning

"There was a significant (analysis of variance, P p.006 ) decrease in intra-abdominal fat volume at the 125-mg ( 18 ‫ע‬ 41 cm 3 decrease) and 600-mg ( 46 ‫ע‬ 39 cm 3 decrease) doses. The changes in both intra-abdominal and intermuscular fat mass were negatively correlated with testosterone dose."

So with 600mg a week, we are talking an average of 46cm^3 loss in fat. Fat is 0.9g/cm^3 so we are talking around a 6-75g loss in fat and it depended greatly on the person as evidenced by the massive range. 500mg of testosterone won't magically get you ripped and you're far better off increasing the dose when you're lean, can eat your face off and have minimal estrogen

Another good study but it also shows that testosterone itself did not help the obese men lose weight

trt doses of test DEFINITELY aid in fat burning, this is the one main thing I have noticed while being on trt....matter of fact test has always aided me in fat burning way more than it did in building muscle. Each person is different, and this is just my case, but even when I was laid up for 6 months with no working out and eating kinda crappy where I put on a lot of abdominal fat and lost much of my muscle.....a short test blast for a few months or so dropped tons of fat for me, people were like damn that test did your BF% good lol :D

yeah the study showed more of an increase from hypogonadal > 100 or 300 or whatever it was than up to 500
So 250 is plenty, it will hold all his mass, pointless trying to grow into a lean condition imo. Seems people are just impatient? They want to run the higher doses as soon as possible. Upping the dose is always nice,, until the sides set in, decreasing dose is never nice

Sometimes I hit a point of diminishing returns when cutting, so I'll just say fck it and go recomp or lean bulk for a few months in order to stimulate some new growth and (hopefully) stoke the metabolism back into swing of things.....you just hope that you don't put on any additional fat, and then you can go cut again with a head of steam after the lean bulk or recomp....cutting seems to stagnate for me at a certain point so I find myself doing this more often the older I get. I suppose that a successful recomp does accomplish the purpose of growing into a leaner condition if you actually burn some fat while adding some muscle....I'm just not sure how many people can accomplish a successful recomp though.

you ever tried waving your calories throughout the week?

Trust me dude, I've done everything you can possibly think of the past 28 years :D ....and yes I've zigzagged calories a million times. I was just doing that between 2K and 2500 give or take a few hundred. You will see eventually.....what works so well in your 20's, does not work the same in your 40's, so you have to adapt to new circumstances.....HRT helps a lot of course, restoring younger test and GH levels....but your metabolism gets more and more stubborn the older you get.

I look forward to it

It's a challenge, but I pride myself on adapting and overcoming any situation, so it's all good. I wish I was on actual GH though, the peptides make me so fcking hungry, and I want to stay on them year round like you would on GH.

Give ipamorelin a go
Older chap will see great results from 250mcg injected upon waking and post training
No CJC needed when you take a GHRP at these times either
No ghrelin release, no cortisol release, no ceiling dose

I used it for a short while, but went back to GHRP2 or 6 with CJC at 200mcg/80mcg twice daily. I take the doses before I intend to eat the two bigger meals, so that helps to quell the hunger.....then in between I eat much smaller portions or take protein and/or amino powders. Actually works pretty well to be honest.

In a sense, it goes back to the comment I made regarding what can be done with a proper diet and gym routine and not upping your dose. Do you need to get your fat level down to see results from an increase in dose- no. But, it does indicate that you may not be making the most of the 160mg you are currently on.
