Sean's Powerlifting Journey

Invalid Link Removed

I have never laughed harder than I laughed at this scene when I first saw it. Maybe it had something to do with where I was (Iraq) but it still is the funniest clip I've ever seen.

Ace Ventura is classic.

The Office sucks.

My angus is peppered...

Show sucks, that is pretty funny though. And True...

Once of my favorite comedy shorts ever... Invalid Link Removed

Alright I'm done.

The two far left, and third down in the middle, were the most tender spots. Then the whole pec..

I meant when you were cutting(rob tries to save face).

I forgot to check this out when you posted before. Cool site. My chiro has posters like this in the one room in his office. I can never see them all bc I am in one position the whole time.

Edit: very cool. I just found a page talking about some trigger points I have been finding in my mid-low back.

Supraspinatus, infraspinatus, and teres major.

Anatomy is easy to learn and will serve you doubly so.

Anatomy isn't easy to learn. There's sooo much gd sh*t in the human body, from DNA to cells, voltage gated chanels, potassium pumps, to organs then organ systems and skeletal/muscular systems, cns/pns and wayyy more. Human anatomy is stupid hard to learn. It takes a miracle to get an A in that sh*t, with probably 1/2 of any given class doing a grade replacement after the first time...

Sorry had to do it

Lol maybe for some, but I memorize well and have great recall, anatomy/physio/ex-physio/clinical ex-phys have been some of my easier courses. I pick it up well.

Anyways, knowing simple muscle anatomy and some biomechanics can be pretty handy for a lifter.

Nope. They wasted moral money at work for one. I don't like it. I just hang upside down from the monolift by a heavy blue band like an idiot instead

How is hanging upside down moral? Must be a verse in the Bible I haven't heard/read yet. Brb, getting one for morning devotions. That and one of those astronaut pens that writes upside down so I can still keep notes. ;-)

21 Box Jumps
21 Kettlebell Thrusters
0:44 Battle Rope
Then 15 and 0:35
Then 9 and 0:25

**** you iparatroop

Parking lot is a sheet of ice so no prowling. I decided to make myself feel fat instead with that workout.

-10 minutes on stair stepper
-Miniband Facepulls w/ external rotation
-Mash, stretch, and roll

Squats tomorrow. Will work up to 540. I might take 585 for a double against light reverse bands if I feel good. 585x2 is what I'd like to hit after a quick deload.

That top supraspinatus trigger point gave me fits to find...

I do think up against the wall as opposed to on the floor works for all those muscles in the line in the middle (for me at least). Screw my rotators.

I gotta tell ya dude, ever since I hit those spots, I feel so much better.

Okay so I thought is attempt a homemade bamboo bar today too. So used a PVC pipe and dangled some kettlebells off of it from short bands. Holy crap it's shaky.

Morale money is for hookers and beer, what the hell! Totally buying one for my spine, feels like sh*t after squatting relatively heavy for the first time in over 6 months

I can dig it but its just one of those novelty like things that I can't justify spending money on. They are cool though

Does your gym have any heavy bands?

They keep em under lock and key for the trainers. And since I don't train anyone there anymore I get treated like the redheaded stepchild. The PL gym I still go to every now and then has some but it'll probably be another month before I get there

This looks suspiciously like a CF WOD there Sean.....

Negative!

Box jumps = Explosive power
Kettlebells= Pavel the Russian says to, Comrade
Battle Rope= The word 'battle' cannot be applied to crossfit, because it's too badass of a word

:P

Plus, no Olympic lifts were executed for 100 reps, or at all.

21 reps on explosive movement = crossfit =p
