I'm not a candy corn fan, but these flavors got my interest. They're both awesome and actually taste like advertised. I added some to the waffles/pancakes (and ate a bunch solo), since the flavors went together well. I'll probably add these (and Starburst candy corn) to my pre-show carb up

How far away is the comp now?

Thanks ace. It's this Saturday. I think I'm lean enough for physique as is (had an experienced bb competitor tell me that I was bb lean last week) and don't plan on dropping much more weight.

I'll be training tomorrow and Wednesday, having a refeed Wednesday (size yet to be determined), just doing LISS Thursday, and shutting down weights/cardio after that. Friday, I'll cut water/sodium down and hopefully be looking ready to go on Saturday.

I just found out today that there's a tanning place a few minutes away that has experience with "competition tans". I'm going to make an appointment for Thursday and probably go back for a "touch up" on Friday if necessary.
 
That was my thought, I'm glad it's now. Didn't think you should get any leaner. Idk how the physique guys peak or if it's any different from BB, but I'd say you don't have much water to cut

Me too lol. I feel like I've been dieting forever. I'm not doing anything too crazy; water/sodium intake are currently up, I'll cut sodium back to normal, and water will be minimal on Friday.

I'm on the bike for a short LISS session before heading to the gym for my final workout of prep. I plan on hitting chest, shoulders, and back. Hopefully, energy and endurance hold up long enough for a decent amount of work. Refeed starts when I get back from the gym. The amount of carbs consumed will be based on how I'm feeling/looking as I go. I won't be hitting 1500g, but expect to be somewhere between 600-900g.

My carb intake will end up being higher than originally planned. I've been ravenous all day and only looked better as they've been piling up. I'll be somewhere between 1000-1200g when finished eating.


I've spent the last couple of hours removing the ridiculous amount of hair from my body. I literally HAD some of the world's hairiest legs and never imagined that I'd be shaving them :eek:. It's incredibly awkward feeling the bare skin against my pants lol. My skin is red and irritated everywhere and I'm hoping it calms down before my first round of tanning tomorrow...something else that I've never done before.


I picked up a couple pairs of board shorts as well. I waited until the last minute, so I could be sure that they'd fit come competition time. A family friend owns a surf shop that's open year round and I wasn't worried about not being able to find any. He hooked me up with a nice deal as well. :thumbsup:

Go with the green. Contrast should do a lot to bring attention to your physique, especially when you're all tanned up. Just my $.02

Yeah that's my first choice, but I want to have options. I'll have to see how they look after tanning (tomorrow and Friday) and if a bunch of competitors are wearing the same color.

Lol I've started getting them as well. It'll probably be the only reason I'm awake for the end of the game.
 
No weights/cardio today and I won't be doing any until after the competition. I had round 1 of tanning a couple hours ago and am super dark, streaky, and sticky.

Breezy, definitely rinse, do not scrub. Find a hoody and sweats you don't mind ruining. Sleep in them or your bed sheets are toast. You will basically want to wear these from the first coat until after the show. No need to ruin a bunch of clothes with pro tan

I'm definitely just going with a rinse. I was told to go heavy on the moisturizer after as well. I've had my hoodie and sweats on (they're a mess) since heading to the tanning place and don't plan on changing.

Thanks ace. Yeah, some carbs should have me looking fuller and vascular. I hit 1200g yesterday, but plan on going with handfuls of cereal and candy on Saturday morning, maybe a couple pop tarts as well if I'm feeling crazy lol.

The shower has me looking a lot more "tan" and not too dark. I believe that I'm supposed to leave tomorrow's tanning alone until after the comp.

I'm no expert, but I think you could carb up more

Yeah, I'm going to need more carbs before the show. They won't be zero, but I'm keeping them on the low end today (fiber low too) and focusing on drying out. I'll have time to fill out in the morning.

Just my opinion but I think you should eat. You honestly looked more flat than usual after your last carb up and I think it might take more carbs than you realize to fill back up.. But here we are playing this balancing game, don't want to be too dry, nor too full.

Either way you're looking good so don't take this post in a negative way i'm just trying to help you in any way I can.

Appreciate the advice ace. I'll be up bright and early eating chicken and rice (with ketchup and salt) and grazing on cereal all morning. I'll have 2 chicken/rice meals before pre-judging (and plenty of cereal) along with candy while I pump up. The same things will be eaten throughout the rest of the day leading up to the night show as well (probably no additional salt last meal).

I just wanted to thank everyone again for the support. It means a lot, especially since I haven't had much of a support system outside of AM throughout this process. Big thanks to DW and EBF Inc for the extra feedback/support as well. I'll actually be heading to the comp solo, which I'm not too happy about, considering I've never even been to a show. However, I'm somewhat friendly with a couple of competitors, so I should be able to ask them some questions if anything comes up.

I just got my second round of tanning done and am even darker than yesterday. I plan on rinsing off in the morning, which should hopefully have my color looking good.
 
I am sure I speak for the rest of the AM guys when I say we are glad we can be here for ya man. :thumbsup:

They've been very helpful when looking for advice or a second opinion. Will do. My phone battery is awful (I'll bring charger) and won't have anyone with me, but I'll see if one if the guys I know will take some pics. I think there'll be some professional pics taken as well.

Round 1 of chicken, jasmine rice, ketchup, and salt down. I'm having some handfuls of cereal before rinsing off in the shower and seeing my finished tan.

I've competed before so I know what to expect. I just thought he looked kinda flat for after a carb up.

A handful of skittles will do wonders for vascularity, but for a guy who's been dieting really hard for a long time-it will do little to fill his glycogen stores (i'm talkin a whole pizza)

But seeing the plan he has today i'm not too worried about it
 
All checked in at 5'11". Rough start to the day after having my keys locked in my car at a gas station. What a blast.:D
