Bev: Train to Perform Log

I'm sure Jim has suggested it and definetly has good ideas for your shoulder that bugs you, but I just did a half-kneeling landmine press and it was very shoulder friendly.

Pre: 1.5 Scoop Condense

Warm-Up: Simple 6, EFS Pull Apart Series x 1

Close Grip(1" from slick) 1 Board Bench: 105x10, 95+40 Chain x 5, 75+40 Chain x 12

Dips: BW x 5, +10x5x2, Bw x 5

a1 Wide NG Pull Down: 50x12,60x12x3
a2 Strict DB Row: 35x6, 40x6x3

Seated DB Press: 30x6, 25x10

b1 Lat Raise: 10x10x3
b2 Reverse Grip Curl: 20x10x3

Notes: Good day at the gym. Limiting factor was my left shoulder. I lowered the weight on my dips and tried to up the weight on my lat raises but my shoulder was bothering me. Over all did some good work in the gym. Pretty happy about my bench though. Getting better :) Seated DB Press sucks!

The gym was awful today. The guy who use to do strongman messed with my shoulder so it hurt doing the deadlifts today. Couldn't go as heavy as I wanted to. Then another guy said he wants to bring me muscle fuel to try the next time we max squat.

Thanks. The guy said my shoulder might be out of alignment so he started messing with it so it hurts a lot now. I'm sure later it'll feel better.

For a first time I think he is doing pretty good. He got 4th in the Conan and yolk. Looks like he is having fun too which is a good thing :)

Absolutely. The first time in a strongman comp would have to be quite a shock.

And that last bit you said is the #1 most important thing, head and shoulders above it all.
 
Yes it is. Plus after this competition he will know the weaknesses he will need to work on for the next strongman competition he does. And he is learning a lot from the guys here.
 
Jim got 2 fingers in 21 seconds. His right hand slipped on the 3rd finger. Lol he went in all geared out...gloves, elbow sleeves, wraps for his gloves, and knee sleeves. Looks like he did good compared to the others in his class

Weighed in at 118.0 competing in 123.

Locked out 245, but it was a hitch. She'll be hammering the top end of that DL leading into the Dec meet.

Great numbers for sure. Benching bodyweight is super impressive. I was just wondering how the meet went outside of the numbers.
 
A FINE job! Well done! Way to push through those grinders. You'll be making big strides, and you already have a nice bench.
