Sean's Powerlifting Journey

Skipped my light workout so I could be a lazy fuk instead. Did a quick mobility/mfr session. **** hurts so bad I didn't even want to do. Sore as a mofo. Thank god my PT test is canceled tomorrow

I gotcha. Curious as to what happens if one fails. I guess you just retake?
You're required to pass it to maintain your qualification for whatever position you are on the boat crew. Failing will make you look like a piece of sh1t, leave the duty section short-handed, and it's a pain in the ass to recertify your position. You would retake it though.

Not sure what other services do tho

Gotcha. Always wondered how stuff like that worked.

Saving Private Ryan

Great ww2 movie. Tom hanks is the man. That opening scene is probably one of the top action scenes ever.

On a side note, I thought Ben afflec was in that movie for years lol it does look like him in all fairness

X2

I like Inglorious Bastards for WWII as well.

Not bad. I think it would be way better if it was all serious without stupid comedy bits added. Probably alone on that, but I think it takes away from the movie

Chastised, put on a remedial PT program, random "pt sessions" throughout the day, lose your leadership position if you're in one, retake until your sorry ass passes, if not...go home.

This, and also:
The green berets
The bridge at remagen
Patton
Run silent run deep

Smoker, I'm really worried about you kid...

Patton is too long. It's solid thou
A bridge too far is nice
Black hawk down for a modern one is good

Band of brothers series is top notch.
Not a big fan of the pacific
Napalm- my movies are good man! Of the ones you listed I've only seen Patton

HBO had a good series in Marines in Iraq a few years back. Only six episodes but it was hoo-rah

I love the smell of napalm in the morning.

NO FAWKING HOMO! It's a quote from the movie, not an allusion to my penchant for Napalm's manly musk.

Sick bastards.

We were soldiers is probably the best Vietnam movie I've ever seen.

There were parts my dad (5th SF Group Vietnam Vet) couldn't even watch 50 years after he left that damn place.

Some parts were a little dramatic for me, but a great movie no doubt. I especially like the opening scene. Ppl forget about the French in the early days/ start

I wish I could thank him for his service. Instead, I'll thank his kid for following in his footsteps. I agree, that movie was pretty well done.
