When do you wrap at the meet? On deck or in the hole? I gotta work on this timing bc I don't want my legs going dead.

That's how I wrap it except I complete the X on the same turn. I don't have as much wrap to play with (yet). Which attempt would you use that tightness of wrap for, Sean? You better say last warmup.

First attempt. I can get a 5th downward turn before I cross back up. I should only be wrap once once for a warm up. 405+Belt, +wrap@485

Then what? Get all you can get second attempt and find a sick **** to give those a spin for 600?
 
Hmm what do you mean then what? 485 will be the last warmup. Then onto 535 for 1st

Yeah, I figured you were just going to roll out the wraps on your legs or maybe give them a light tug for the last warmup, then crank them the way you video'd for first attempt, crank a little harder for second, and have somebody else wrap you for 600.

I'll stick to no wraps for now.

I used to think wrapped mine very tight, but when I got wrapped by two Juggernauts back-to-back, I couldn't walk right for the next few days. It's just something to get used to.

Anytime I've had an ultra tight wrap, my hamstring cord was ****ed up for days. Sucks
 
How much extra weight do you get out of a good wrap?

My best non-wrapped was 470 and my best wrapped is 535. I think I could have milked out a little more on the unwrapped. I'd say it give me 50. It all depends on how you squat with and without them. I drop really fast and have a tendency to not sit back as much as I should. The wraps push me back and give me spring out of the bottom. I made huge gains by getting better wraps, and then not using them until ~4wks out

I wouldn't say weight per se. More of adding extra connective tissue to stabilize the joint an lessen injury potential. For me, they take away from a lot of the sheering force on the knee from my squat style.

Are your wraps really stiff? I feel like my Elite Super Heavies didn't give me poundage but were extremely secure.

If you go sumo, wear some chucks, and hit it like you're gonna box squat that mofo, it should go. If your suit were multi-ply, I would say that you'd nail it. and you know this is a good idea.
 
Lol interesting wrap technique, haven't tried that style.
 
You guys see Byrd back squat 600 with no hands? Reminds me if that but like the opposite, but not really because the opposite would be a hand stand. Huh huh

I had to singe the ends of my wraps with a lighter and will possibly have to stitch the end if they fray anymore by meet time. This may be the last time I wear em.

Mine are all jacked up, too. Same thing you describe. I definitely need a new pair before long. 3m here we come.
 
Which ones are those? What are they like? I like the Blue Arrow so far, and I have the 2.5 Super Heavies.

Meet Week/3 days out

Bit of MFR.
Bit of hip flossing.

Half kneeling anti rotation cable press x4 Cambered Bar Ab rollouts x4
Walking lunges, big stretch x3
Pullaparts with mini band
Shoulder ER/IR w/ miniband
 
Today will be the last day of the water load. Sitting at 1.5g so far. I'll try to average 32oz/hour until I go to bed (hopefully not pissing the bed)

Dinner tonight will be a buncha chicken and a small sweet potato.

Tomorrow I'll be down to one gallon of water and zero sodium. Carbs will be below 100. Meal ideas? Crap load if chicken, almonds. Carbs wise-cut out the starch? Fruits & veggies?

Friday I'll have breakfast. Dose 200mg caffeine every 4 hours. Cut out water after 12pm.
