Sean's Powerlifting Journey

Thanks Nomz. 560 is the ultimate goal.

Left arm Bicep flexion.,, I think it's from my narrow grip on the bar. Flex triceps or widen grip?

You should be flexing the tricep and I forget who said it in a DL video but, he said that he places his underhand grip hand slightly wider on the bar than the overhand grip side because of this. I don't know if you want to go changing things so close to your meet though.

I'll pull 315 for a couple singles next week and play with it. I never remember to flex my tricep, ever. Woops.

Yeah, flex your tricep. That should go a long way to fixing that issue. And flex your lats, too (not saying you don't do this, just make sure to not forget to do it).

Didn't see what set that was on.

My grip is very narrow and I have no problems there, I'm not sure I would flex tripeps actively either. From my experience, it's just a habit you get into and just need to break. I'll remind my clients during the step and they eventually stop.

I just did T25(?) Abs. I guess it's from the makers of Beach Body. They set a TV up in our crap weight room at work so I did it with a couple of others.

25 minutes of core work. I skipped all the sprinting in place bullsh1t. My hip flexors said hell no. However, my core got it's work in.

I'll have to check this out, see if it's like what I'm trying to do myself.

"Did Vikings care about their abs? Hell no, they didn't. You think you're more bad ass than a Viking?"

Why yes, I WILL have a whole bucket of chicken. I said this just last night. And also my last meet day.

And Cambered bar Ab rollouts + side planks

Over the past couple weeks, I've made a positive impact in my core and how it's engaged.

Yea buddy! Good work.

I think all the **** you've been doing and went through with assessment and all lead me in a direction of researching that changed the way I do core work and use my core. Thanks man.

I changed it to where I actually DO core instead of a couple half assed standing Ab crunches lol

Word. I feel like I have half assed them in the past(not on purpose) due to lack of understanding.

I think something that has been huge for me is it finally clicking the part how the abdominal and glute muscles constantly work together. I feel like it has been helping my back.

For me it was extremely eye opening to notice the direct link between my glute health and my lower back pain. I'll wake up fully locked up in my back and bring my lax ball for the ride in the car. Bang. Good as new by the time I'm on the job site.

Yeah I never realized that either until Cressy. There's lots of stuff I wish I did differently the past few months so I can't wait to apply more in the future

What do you mean? You sit on it while you drive?

Yeah, I bring one lax ball and sit on it. It's not very aggressive, but it gets the job done. I just lean on it really hard and work pretty much every spot.

I guess no one picked up on the potential gayness of my post

Oh, I picked up on it. That's the main reason why I decided to explain myself. Before you guys said I sit on three softballs taped together and make them all disappear.

Herp derp I missed the key word "vertical"

Edit: stay classy San Diego
Bobby needs to go to bed.

I like the video by Clint Darden saying that there were more 1000 lb squats at the bottom of a McDonalds bag than a diet coke can.

hahahaha I love that.

All of this is making me question my cut lol

And Clint Darden is the man. His Nose Tork video is funny ****. And smoker, I can't find the article lol Ilk get it though
