Injury? Serious or not?

I hurt myself benching today.

I set my arch, unracked 295# hit it for a double, racked and stood up, by the time I walked around to the other side of the bench I had awful pain in my coccyx. I can't sit or hinge past about 45 degrees. It's still really fresh, but it sounds like a nerve pinch or something. It's definitely not muscle. Anyone shed some light?

My plan as of now is to attempt to sleep it off and see a doctor tomorrow.

I had an extremely tight lumbar after I arched too much one day. I was pretty miserable. Couldn't get up from my seat sometimes. I just did some mobility exercises and took it easy on it and it went away after a couple if days.

I dunno if that's your case or not

I hope. But honestly soon after it happens I can feel my leg falling asleep, so obviously a nerve is being pinched in certain angles.

I'm going to see a doctor in a few hours. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Ideas... S.I. impingement or Pelvis imbalance, but Id def. see a doc ASAP as you don't want to let such a thing screw up you daily movement patterns. Also ensure your doc has a good idea of what that arch looks like during your bench as most will just think your doing something the human body shouldn't anyway. Wish ya the best and this is only my 2 cents lol.

Seems to be just a pinched nerve and inflammation is reducing mobility. Rest and Tylenol seems to be the answer. Which is fine by me, I needed to a break obviously.

Went to the gym today just to support my lifting partner. He hit a PR Box squat.

I'll just do some basic mobility work this week and hopefully it passes.

Had a similar pain not too long ago, maybe not quite to your extent. Foam rolling!!! That is my cure all. It's murder at first, but once you start, ya won't wanna stop!
