So if I had to describe today's workout with one word it would be "grind." This week was the beginning of training with new training maxes on squat and DL, an addition of 95lbs total. It has been a tough one and I knew that I wasn't recovered fully going in to today. Monday was my heaviest squat workout ever, until today. My back was still sore from deads on Wednesday which translated into a seriously intense back pump all through my squats. 265 felt tremendously heavy, but I was able to get all the top sets at 355 done. They weren't the paused ATG squats I've been trying to do lately but they were hard and I finished them. Had to skip GM's though, back was fried. Just happy that I finished strong, this is the last really tough week I had to train before the meet, so I wasn't going to leave any squat sets unfinished.

Epic dude damn those numbers are nice

Today went well, still had back pumps for squats, but nothing compared to Friday. Was putting 355 in the hole like I wanted to today. Bench felt good as well, I was happy with the singles at 245, and I think my pausing was getting better as I finished them out. 2 scoops of the good stuff today, I'm definitely enjoying the Prodigy!

Got taurine for those back pumps?

I do not, I don't know if it's pumps or just fatigue, but I'll look into that for sure.

Can't hurt, man. I just hit up some taurine/glycerol before deadlifts. We'll see how it goes.

Everything was feeling good today, I thought my form was really good on deads while I was doing them, they felt smooth and fast, but watching the vids, I'm not sure it was that great lol. Just took one scoop of Prodigy today, great focus and energy for a semi light day.

Deads looked smooth and solid. Hips stayed down and everything moved as a unit. I am going to nit-pick on something though. If you look at the first bench video. Where the bar sits in your hand is making your wrists **** back and this will cause a problem later when the much heavier loads come. You want the bar sitting right on the meat of the palm, directly in line with your forearm. Not supported by your wrist. Just something to look at champ.

Thanks brother, I appreciate the tip on bench!

Quick and easy, ready for the platform. Just 1 scoop of Prodigy did the job fine today. It's getting the job done for sure.

I'm definitely on board with the preworkout break before the meet. I'm doing the same thing.

Yeah - best of luck brotha! You've worked plenty hard, now get it done!! I'm getting excited for ya!

Time to let the weights do the talking now Doja!

That's it.

Nice! Now visualize the PRs that are going to be crushed.

Make it happen today big boy!!

450/250/465 vids on channel, full write up in a couple hours, on my way home now.

Bummed about the deads, but extremely stoked to have hit a 2.5 BW squat. I knew it wasn't my turn when I went to do that first 465, but everyone in the room was staring at me, and the guy who was supposed to go was sitting in a chair, so I just went and picked it up. At meets in the future, I will certainly be confident enough to say "it's not my turn." All in all I got a medal and I now hold all 4 USPA Oregon raw 181 records as far as I know. It's kinda cool to get to be the first guy so I get the records by default, but now that they belong to me, I have an overwhelming desire to keep them mine.

We can clearly see that you'll be setting the record MUCH higher on deadlifts in your next meet. 500 will definitely come next time, and who knows what your third attempt will be.

Hoping for 550, most likely gonna go get 525 this week for my own peace of mind. Still had a great time and a bad ass squat. All in all I'm happy, thanks for the support brother!

The squat number had me going "Yeah Buddy". What was the deal with the DL? You went out of turn so got DQ'd?

Went out of turn, before I was ready. I knew it wasn't my turn but the dude supposed to lift was sitting down somewhere and everyone in the room was looking at me like "you gonna lift that?" It felt heavy as ****, I just wasnt ready and it exhausted me, nailed it on the 2nd then hitched 500.

That blows big time Doja...I've seen you move bigger numbers in training. The mental aspect really plays a major role as we can see. You still have your name in the record books forever and no one can change that big man!!

Just watch that hitch and you should be golden, you have the strength to move bigger weight than that. Just have to make sure you don't ingrain that as a motor pattern.

Continuing with sheiko until then?

Yeah man, I usually never hitch, I think I was just tired and pissed cause I wasn't even going to get to attempt 525. Most likely I will continue sheiko, I have put 85lbs on my squat since starting it, maybe 10 weeks ago. You can't argue with that IMO, the program works for me.

Too many times, people jump programs before they really reap the true benefits. Stick with it.

Totally agree with this. Smart move on your part to stick with this Doja. There will come a time to adapt, but it sure doesn't seem like that time is coming anytime soon!

Solid day, pretty challenging but nice to be done.

Well guys today I finished off my tub of Prodigy and I must say it has been a good product.
Final Review:

Endurance: 9/10 I was able to do some pretty long workouts with Prodigy, I wasn't disappointed.

Strength: 9/10 I hit PRs all through week one and did pretty well at my meet, nothing lacking here.

Focus/ mental stimulation: 7/10 Focus was alright, wasn't really what I'm used to with PWO's.

Pumps: 8/10 Pretty solid pumps throughout using the product, even though I rarely train in rep ranges that yield maximum pumpage lol.

I have a pretty high stim tolerance and don't get tingles or any of that stuff. So for me a PWO either works or it doesn't and I thought Prodigy worked just fine.

I want to thank the guys at PNI again for allowing me to run Prodigy!

I really need to give this pre a run someday. Nice review Doja. Oh and nice workout too.
