Need something to take for anxiety.

Minimum is 1g. I usually will do 1g and 15 to 20 minutes later possibly do another 500mg to 1g.

Most supps dont have more than 200mg and I dont see that doing much, if anything for most individuals.

Yea good didn't think I was the only crazy one lol

I deal with this at times myself buddy.Work, family, training, meal plans,ect.. just add to the problem.
Now that your older the best meds to fight this is actually none at all (for myself)

Take one full day with only yourself and go do something with no stress unvoled(fishing doesn't work for me=snags)but if you live close or even have to travel alittle go to a nice rural setting(rock formation, waterfall, creek)and just relax and think about only the positive things in your life while enjoying the setting.Just see if it helps at all if it does when anxiety hits you remember that day and block all else out.

Man your all messed up everybody trying help and u have a excuse for everything

That's exactly what I think. Nothing should hold a person back that's trying to feel better. Sound like the kid here is just looking for a handout life.

Yeah sure and I'm sure having bipolar has nothing to do with it, nope I just want to take pills.

I don't believe in bipolar, add, ADHD....blah blah blah.... So what now, I had two of my best friends blown to smithereens in front of me by a Muslim jihadist in Chechnya, than got hit 3 times by 7.62x39 rounds and was caught in a 100 meter radius of an F1 grenade which resulted in not very severe shrapnel injuries. Afterwards I was receiving morphine in large quantities.

Point of me sharing this is man the **** up. I didn't come home with any "psychiatric disorders" and neither did I get super hooked on Opioids, like all the other weak minded fools did. I did however come home with "Hero of Russian Federation" award, 8 overall spinal vertebrae herniations, and a ****ty 400$ a month pension.
Its all a mind game, you either play it and win... Or struggle in it and suffer. It's your choice. That's my two cents on your bipolar disorder.

Thanks, my depression is cured now...

With that kind of attitude you'll be depressed for life. People here trying to help you like bro's, but you seem to have a negative response towards everything. Get to the root of your problem and solve it yourself if you don't want advice of people that already solved the same problem you have.

So, I've been having anxiety bad lately along with insomnia, I'm not sure if they're both related. I've had a social anxiety all my life, while that has gotten better, anxiety in general seem to have gotten worse. I've tried gaba, no help. I've tried saint john's wart, no help. I've been on anti-depressants and they all cause bad side effects, like ED and generally are not good. The only thing that seems to help is marijuana, but getting a hold of it is an issue and I'd rather take something that is legal if it works. I was looking up info on anti-anxiety meds and most of them seem to have very bad side effects, such as sexual side effects, effecting metabolism, which I definitely don't want since I'm trying to build muscle and some of them even have the side effect of memory loss. So, I guess my question is, has anyone here had any success on an anti-anxiety medication and were you still able to train and see results just as well on them?

Some tips that can help you with your anxiety can be also trying to avoid certain foods. I had to rotate through the psychiatric aisle while in med school back in Central America, and we dealt with a lot of young patients with anxiety. Some of the stuff to avoid like the plague is coffee, chocolate and everything that has caffeine in it. If you like coffee make sure you ask for decaf coffee. Tons of patients are medicated and don't feel any better while on medical treatment but keep on holding on to this kind of foods. There are contradictory studies that claim that chocolate is good and others say it isn't good. We learn in school if you have mood disorders plus insomnia avoid this stuff. Try to keep yourself busy, look for a part time job. Occupational therapy helps a lot. The more your brain is busy the less episodes of anxiety you'll have to go through. I hope this helps.

You were taking morphine in large quantities? What a weak individual you are! If your truly a hero like you say, try acting like it and not an a hole.

OP: without attacking your psychiatric conditions, which is unfair without knowing you--two pieces of advice.
1) Don't come to a bodybuilding forum seeking advice on psychiatric maintenance strategies, few here are qualified and no one can accurately diagnose through the interwebs.
2) KiloG did have a point--you have responded negatively to every piece of advice offered to you. This negativity is doubtlessly part of your problems and a problem in itself.

Best of luck

Let me correct myself, I was given morphine in large quantities. And whatever you have to say about my honorary title does not concern me. You try getting shot by an AK-47? I'm sure that you won't last even 5 minutes before losing conscience, it's like some one is welding inside of you, while at the same time tearing your flesh. Some times you have to be an A hole throughout life in order to open people's eyes. In reality I'm very kind, war teaches people true value of life and love as our Lord the Savior Jesus Christ tried to show us. It's not my fault that people cannot follow simple instructions. Thus I am entitled to my view, whenever one asks for advice, than starts to respond negatively towards his fellows, there is no reason not to be an "a hole". What did you expect me to do, Fly from Russia to the OP's house and sing him a lullaby before bed? Lol seriously your misguided.

Your misguided saying you don't believe In these conditions. I would think you would know better. I know about war as I am a combat veteran myself, but did not get shot, only blown up by an IED and I'm trying to cope with the same made up problems dvd has lol. I know you had the best intentions but it may have been more harsh than helpful of a statement imo. I think michele had the best advice staying away from caffeine as I have found some relief myself. Best of luck dvd and maybe look into breathing techniques to slow your hr.

The reason I asked in a forum like this, was to just get some kind of idea on a list of meds that wouldn't effect metabolism, or bodybuilding in a negative way. Most doctors do not bodybuild, so they may not take that into consideration. This is why I asked. This wasn't meant to be a thread to ask what meds I should take, but what meds bodybuilders have had success taking, that hasn't effected their training.

Good luck, unsubbed.

Discrediting proven mental disorders is just seriously small minded.

Some people have postpartum depression, for no seemingly reason. Some do not. Are those just supposed to man up? Your comment is a slap in the face of an entire line of work and profession, be of psychologists, psychiatrists, sh!t, I could go on. You don't see me here saying things like "I believe war is stupid", yet you make so little out of a whole line of professionals because you went to war?

There are a PLETHORA of army individuals that go to war and have no depression during, post, or any psychological issues at all when it relates to war. But then go suicidal because their wives left them, or died of cancer, or insert whatever you want here. Are you calling them less of men because of that? A child that loses both his parents and has to take care of their younger siblings and may end up with disorders, is he a little pansy? Martial fighters that are willing to step into a cage and beat the crap out of each other, but that are left crying in tears missing their families?

Different people, different triggers. Doesn't mean one makes it up, and the denial attitude and the excuse making is actually one of the symptoms. You may not understand it, I may not understand it, I may think I've had it worse, truth is everyone is different and root causes and personalities are different.
